I'm so sorry you have some old habits coming back. This is a hard road, take some time to remind yourself why you had this surgery. I would do a couple days of preop diet, journal whatever you need and reestablish your habits. Maybe even looking into a local support group. Dont be too hard on yourself this is a process. I…

So i have not had the surgery yet but i am going to explain why i am choosing to have the surgery. The first reason is health and mobility. I have hashimotos thyroiditis, fibromyalgia and possibly lupus so losing weight has always been extremely difficult. I have had 2 major back surgeries in the last year and a half,…

I am slightly worried about this myself but I look at it that I would rather have loose skin than fat. I also have a game plan that if i do have loose skin and it bothers me there are cosmetic alternatives available, some of which are covered by health insurance that my dr has already presented to me. Might not be your cup…

While Ive only been on here a couple weeks I completely agree you have to make it a priority and then it becomes a habit.

When I crave sweets I chew gum and have water and wait 10 minutes. If i still want it, I only eat half of it. Sometimes I am saited if I just have a bite.

I usually use avocado...will look into the Trader Joe's Parm ranch though. That sounds great!

Pacific Northwest girl here...yum to the salmon! Almost everything I can buy here locally is wild. I can literally walk down the street from my moms house and buy a freshly caught salmon from the local tribe.

My issue is trying to get the correct dosage. I used to be on the correct dosage and maintained a proper weight, then all of a sudden I had overdose symptoms so they took me off Levothyroxin and checked my blood. I was still registering as "in the normal" so they decided to take me off my meds and re-evalute in 6 months.…

I spent nearly all my life trying to figure out what was wrong with me medically, finally the conversation turned from "its all in your head" to "well with how heavy you are...". Finally got a diagnosis: Not only did I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis a low thyroid disorder that caused me to gain weight rapidly due to my…

People are telling me that I look good and that my work pants are baggy on me. I have lost 16 pounds this month/6 since I joined MFP 2 weeks ago.
-
I am on the pill and haven't had a problem with my weight loss. I have been strict with what I eat and try to log everything I am eating and leaving a wide margin of deficit in calories.

We all mess up, its what we do with that knowledge afterwards...

I am new here but I know my diary is open, still learning how to retrain my brain and eat correctly but its open and I can use all the motivation and accountability on my end.

increase your spice cabinet, find the "skinny" versions of the meals you crave and move on. I cook at home and try to eat minimally processed foods to help control what I am eating. While chicken is fantastic some times I want a different lean protein like seafood! Make sure you are eating a variety of foods to have a…

both are about the same, however each provide some different nutrients. I use both in my household.
-
maybe your body is asking for more protein?
-
Aim for at least 1200 to make sure your body is not going into starvation mode. I struggle with this as well but I have found if eat things high in protein I can eat closer to my recommended calorie requirements. I like to put avocado on lots of things, almond butter on fruit/oatmeal. You will get there, it just takes time.

Any kind of moving to start..i chose walking on my lunch break for atleast 30 minutes. I realized I could spend half my lunch eating and the other half moving! This also allows me to get in a small workout even if i don't have time after school. Once you get a routine you will find a way. Even 10 minutes at a time....
