I took an Aikido seminar that lasted six hours, and gained almost ten pounds after. I was horrified and posted a similar thread. It's not worth panicking over, but it might take more than a couple days to go away. I took this seminar two months ago it came off after a couple weeks, and the decline continued. So, don't…

My problem isn't easter. It's the monday after easter when those awesome Lindtt bunnies are only a dollar and some pennies at the drug store. If I see those, I buy several. Then I sit on my couch drinking whiskey and eating them while watching TV. My husband will come home to find me drunk, wrapped in a blanket and…

I was on this drug for migraines for a few months. I stopped because I was still having several headache days per month, and asked to try a different treatment. The pins and needles feeling in my feet became so severe at times I found myself stomping on the floor to try and 'wake my foot up.' It was in vain. Luckily, I…

I took an 8 hour Aikido seminar one saturday and there was a vegan buffet after. During the seminar, all that was available was fruit and water, because no one wanted to have a rock in their belly while being tossed about. I logged everything and it told me I would have lost 60lbs in five weeks if every day had been like…

There's nothing wrong with loving who you are, and there's nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy! As for those snide little ones with the back handed compliments. Call 'em out on that crap, girl. Right as it happens. Point it out and tell them that's not okay. Your real friends will apologize. The not-so-real ones will…

What makes this diet military? Does it have you carry 90lbs on your back for 10 miles in a day twice a week or something?
-
So, what did you say that was so horrible the thread got deleted?

Honestly? I have no idea what the logic was or where she got the idea. After staring blankly at her and asking if bread didn't count either, she abandoned the idea. I didn't bring it up again, because I think she realized how silly it sounded and was embarrassed. She is one of those ladies who falls victim to "quick fixes"…

I had a friend once tell me that "If you eat carbs when they're cold your body won't digest them." Once. She was eating a plate of cold fries.

I'm sorry you're going through this. You deserve better. You're describing a rather unhealthy relationship with you and your husband, and judging by your willingness to share that information with the internet I think you have a pretty solid understanding that it is unhealthy. You deserve to be happy in your skin, and I…

Find something that is fun for you to do that leaves you out of breath.

Thank you. And thanks for the others who have suggested dumbbell exercises. There's a lot of good information here, and I appreciate all of the input. I've been saving the articles and going through them. I'm fairly new to free weights and as I mentioned before, the personal trainer was useless so I can't trust her to show…

This looks like fun and the motions look very similar to the barbell exercises in 5x5 that I wanted to try! Thank you!

Yes. I'm quite sure. My planet fitness opened up this past December and is in a very small location compared to some of the other ones I have been in.

Thank you for all the resources! I'll check them out. This is encouraging. The nearest gym besides planet fitness to me is 35 minutes of highway driving away, and I'm not sure I will wake up at 5am to go to it and then get my butt to work. They're 8 times as expensive, but they actually have better equipment. This isn't…

Eh, alright. I guess... I'm not feeling so good about lifting anymore. But thank you for your time.
-
Well, [Excessive Naughty Words.] Is there any suggestions to make do with that? Because it's what I've got available to me and as I mentioned before, switching gyms and buying equipment is not an option for me.

https://s3-media4.fl.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/Ab6rArRPzN0NdUmH3sWOQg/ls.jpg ^ This thing. This thing is what the gym has. It probably is a smith's machine for all I know. Unfortunately I live in a small town, and my options for gyms are very limited to planet fitness...and outside. I'm also on a tight budget, and tight living…

I'm a 34G and I use a Panache for both running and martial arts. So far it has served me well.

I have PCOS and I haven't been below 160 since I hit puberty. I dodged a lot of the serious symptoms, and but I have that hard-to-lose weight one and infertility. I used to kill myself doing the same thing you're describing. I was eating 1200 a day and doing cardio 5x a week. EXACTLY what you said you were doing. It…

People who fake food allergies. Especially people who are "gluten intolerant" but have a beer in their hand, and no idea what Celiac Disease is when you mention it.

I have a Garmin forerunner 235, and It's water resistant to 50 meters, but it was not cheap. However, the slightly older Forerunner 220 has most of the same features and is steeply discounted because it's last year's model...if you can find one. Shop around! CleverTraining.com has some good sales on activity trackers now…

Wow, thank you for all the Replies, Cassidy, I'm not sure if my measurements have changed because I never took a measurement when I started to exercise...although that should have been a no-brainer. I will have to get a tape measure to be sure, because I'm not sure if my jeans are loose or I'm just stretching them out from…

I too, have this problem. I haven't been below 160 since I was 13. I'm at 175 now, and a lot of the time it seems like nothing I do affects the scale number at all.

Thank you everybody, that is very reassuring!
