  • I've been low carb and IF for a long time--love it!--but have been in a plateau for several months. I guess it's time to get real about how much I'm actually eating :|. I used MFP successfully several years ago, so I know it works. I live in Ontario, keep an open diary for friends, and 7am coffee is my favourite time of…
  • Re: the clothes. I did this this morning, by accident! I happened to sleep in tights I usually go to the gym in. When I woke up at 530am and started having my usual "should I-shouldn't I...?" conversation, I realized that it was easier to get motivated b/c I was already half dressed. lol.
  • This app and the MFP community are awesome resources--you can do this!!
  • 7lbs is awesome--congrats! I love spin. Def try it for high intensity, sweat-pouring-down-your-body cardio. Find a good class with loud music and a motivating instructor. Keep pushing yourself and it will never get old. I go to Les Mills RPM.
  • I'm SDA, born and raised (not a purist thought). Feel free to add me!
  • Happy Belated Canada Day! Calgary. New friends welcome.
  • Another from Calgary...feel free to add me. 1st goal is 30lbs and I'm down almost 20!
  • I've been using this app for nearly 100 days and I get that way every once in awhile. I find taking a day or two off logging once every couple of weekends really helps with the monotony. I don't go crazy...I tend to eat my usual and maybe have a treat or a meal ive been craving. I trust in my overall established deficit. I…
  • Calgary! Love having close-by Canadian friends.
  • I'm seeing my collar bone for the first time in a long time (10+ years)! I can't stop touching it :)
  • Dairy is a major cause of my acne. Before MFP, I was dairy free and had almost no breakouts and glowing skin. Began MFP and adjusted my diet for more protien and low calorie foods such as yogurt and cottage cheese and I've broken out terribly. Now that I've adjusted to eating less calories, I'm going to quit dairy again.
  • Easy grab n' go, filling snacks from Costco: Turkey pepperoni (2 for100 cal), GoodFood Chicken salad (individual cups, 140 cal), pea snap crisps (100 cal/bag).
  • I make protien pancakes with egg whites and cottage cheese every morning. It gives me about 28g protien for only 244 calories (makes 3 good sized, filling pancakes!). Flavored canned tuna, turkey pepperoni (costco), GoodFood chicken salad (handy single servings at costco), and the occasional protien bars are my other grab…
  • I eat around 1400-1500 and workout at least 5 days/week. High protien meals are key for me. And lots of water; warm water fills me more for some reason. Also avoiding processed sugars...they seem trigger my appetite for the next 24hrs (3 tbls nutella one evening made me ravenous the next day). Also, it took about a month…

  • This genuinely surprised me. How could someone lose so much weight and not lose significant inches?
  • Calgary close enough? You can add me if you'd like.
  • Hi everyone. I just turned 38 and would love to be in the best shape of my life by the time I turn 40. My first goal is to lose 30lbs. In my first month I lost 4lbs --slow but manageable long term. Eating around 1400-1500 calories and excercising 5 days/week. My diary is open to friends. Feel free to add me!
  • Fudgicles give me a nice chocolate fix at only 90 calories. I also like the Cliff organic trail mix bars with chocolate. They are 200 calories and as delicious as any nutty chocolate bar!
  • Would love some supportive friends! I'm 38, looking to lose about 30lbs, eating avg 1400-1500 calories and my diary is open to friends. Add me!
  • Mine is open to friends. Feel free to add me.
  • Calgary...close! Feel free to add me.
  • Mine is open to friends. Feel free to add me! 17lbs is amazing...congrats!
  • So many great options. Eats lots of subji made with less oil or no oil at all (works well with greens). A roti or two, homemade, isn't that high in calories (use the recipe builder). Dal, brown lentils, rajma are great, but higher in calories. So I eat them like soup instead of on rice or with meat. I make canned (tin)…
  • Calgary. Would love some local friends!
