  • kathryntaylor explains it perfectly. I use yoga to combat stress. It doesn't have to be any certain style of yoga either. There's just something about the deep breathing and flow of the poses that takes care of all the stress. :smile:

  • I have started listening to audio books or podcasts when I'm walking. The music didn't seem to help me keep my head in the game for very long.

  • I'm actually surprised at how many of you workout on an empty stomach in the morning. When I first started working out in the mornings I did that but found pretty quickly that I'd be sick shortly after the workout and would have a headache; which was usually fixed by food.   • I recently discovered Labrada's cookie dough protein bars. They are great for when I'm craving chocolate and much better than me wolfing down a candy bar. Since I've started substituting those (and trail mix) I've found that I don't crave really sweet food like I used to.
  • I agree that it shouldn't be looked at as a source of higher calorie burn. It is normal for a person's heart rate to increase when they are sick. Cold medicines can also increase your heart rate.
  • I also agree to ignore all those saying it isn't healthy.. What works for some doesn't always work for all.. I use Shakeology M-F and am amazed at how much better I feel. I'm sure I could eat my lunch and stay within my calorie goal but the Shakeology helps with nutrients that I otherwise wouldn't get. I mix mine with 8oz…
