Usually but not always it's whoever built the wheel that installed the rim tape. You can add more to that spot.

Get a bike!

Can you clarify how many of those are active calories? It will help people give you a better answer.

It is absolutely 100% accurate and never wrong, as long as you follow the many worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics and grant that MFP may be describing a different world than the one we inhabit. It depends how much you eat between now and when you're talking about. The future is unknown and the MFP algorithm doesn't…

I think we've always cared what other people think of us, for survival reasons. We're a social species, our niche is in groups of other people. Why does it seem like we need more validation these days? My hunch is it's a perfect storm of several things. It's easier to look for now, you can talk to thousands of people…

I've had one Suunto watch, the humble but mighty Core. I liked it. I have considered many of their GPS watches over the years but have gone with Garmin instead for various reasons. Suunto seems to do a good job and is ahead of Garmin in some ways. Do you have an Edge or other device to capture your power data and give you…

I love cycling. It's fun and beautiful and makes life more fulfilling.

Go outside for a long walk and make some vitamin d!

It's 50 miles in a straight line from the top of Jolly to the top of Rainier! 🏔️

I prefer to think of these as "personally relevant tests." 😁

Time to run a mile. 20 minutes mean maximal power on a bike.

Yes.

Water, often with electrolytes. Sometimes a latte.

Maybe replacing the battery resulted in losing some data the device needs and has restarted the "getting to know you" period. Which usually lasts a couple weeks? Garmin's partner apps thing sends a copy of your data when your device syncs it. It doesn't go back and reconcile after you edit. That's why only the original…

I love cycling. I don't consider hiking to be fun, it's still enjoyable, I love doing it. I love doing a lot of things that involve being active, and do them for their own sake, or for the enjoyment they bring me. I'm leaving work early to swim in the lake again today.

This happens when I've built up too much cumulative fatigue. Yesterday I wasn't able to get my heart rate up very high despite charging up hills, which is a sign of overtraining. Today I've just been juggling kittens.

There's a thing called "the traveling salesman problem," it's a good metaphor for a lot of things in life. If a salesman (or saleswoman) needs to visit a lot of different potential customers, you could find the optimal route by measuring the distance of every path between all of them. But it adds up quickly, and soon you…

At times it was extremely difficult. I try to go at a slower but sustainable pace instead of stopping for breaks, but there were parts that were extremely steep and to maintain any forward motion I had to give it everything I had and was hugging and puffing, followed by a stop for water and rest.

I got "lost" for a moment. Walked right off the end of a switchback taking pictures of the sun filtering down through the old growth. There was a game trail that just sort of disappeared. Having maps in the watch made it easy to find the most convenient way back to the trail instead of going back up hill to it. I have…

To the peak was 2,000 feet (610 meters) over 2.75 miles (4.4 km). Those two lakes that are visible from the summit added some more and I don't have the Garmin app up with the details but they were more level. This was very steep, my group of friends call it "rude" and I'm not sure if they mean whoever made the trail or…

Calorie deficit.

Also noteworthy are those new carbon wheels.Tubless and 32mm rim profile, 21mm internal rim width, and claimed weight of 1,502g. 46mm rim depth, 21mm internal rim width, and a claimed weight of 1,610g. A bit narrow considering the trend direction, but $1050 seems like bargain.

Tip: stop lifting (or at least reduce the weight) when you feel exhausted enough for your form to break down. Getting injured didn't help anyone's fitness.
-
Also, it's a lot easier to hold any intensity level for half an hour vs several hours. It's definitely not so rare as to be assumed impossible for a recreational cyclist to put out 220w for 30 mins.

Nobody on MFP knows the future. ☹️

A "set point" is the result of habbits. Or habbits tend to be fairly consistent on average.

That's only 154 watts.

You're saying that like it's a fact, but we don't know if it's true or not. Several people have asked the OP how the number was derived and they haven't answered yet, so we can't know how accurate it is. If it was from a power meter the maximum error is +/- 2.5%.

It was cold the first couple days, I actually had a fire for warmth and regretted not bringing a down jacket. Then the clouds vanished and the weather became as beautiful as the surroundings. I'm used to swimming but it was much too cold. On my way back from hiking today the car said it was 100F in North Bend and 90F here…
