Greens, greens, greens! When it's too cold for salads, like now, I like to wilt mine up in EVOO and lots of spices and herbs. And I mean hearty deep greens - kale, collards, turnips, mustard! Not romaine. :-)

If you want to continue in ketosis thru breakfast, go with the classic bulletproof coffee or just coffee with a good splash of cream. An egg or two with butter and cheese will be high fat and mod protein to keep insulin levels about baseline or a nice coconut milk shake with about 10g protein powder and your choice of…

So while almost nobody posted here to be helpful, as I'm a Ketoer, let me help. Look at dietdoctor.com and download app Total Keto Diet. I'm not sure what you all like but I get great inspirations going to my local organic or specialty markets with an open mind... and a full belly so the aisles of carbs don't tempt me.…

I'm on keto and really believe that, for me, it is THE answer. IR, obesity and diabetes in my family and I'm a total carb junkie. Does Keto eliminate many of my favorite foods? Yes but that is like an addict complaining that treatment doesn't let them take a hit! Those foods were literally killing me. I have a long way…

I almost got the No Cow bars tonight. So glad I didn't!

I'm Keto! You can either use the low carb settings or customize to your macros. I think customizing is best. Ketooooooo!

I figure that if drinking unsweetened tea and coffee keep me from losing weight then I'm not meant to lose it. Hate plain water. Wonder if those of us who can't tolerate plain water are super-tasters, there is always some off putting flavor in water.

Or go low carb and have about as much tasty cheese as you like.

So, I notice many of the suggestions are still pretty sugar-laden. I think nuts, fruit (not raisins), dark choc and mini kind bars are all good options as are gum, mints, and water if you have a booth since not many will give those out.

...or just toss it. Problem solved! (especially since you don't care for the stuff)

Panera is a DIET KILLER! Just avoid... :-O

PS - while you are recovering, whole milk and smooth peanut butter will help keep your energy up. I live on whole milk chai and spoons of PB after the acute phase is past. Oh, and eggs.

I had this exact same thing happen to me and it's a real bi-otch! Do the low residue thing until you are healed, then soft reg foods then reg foods then ease back into the low carb. Fiber WILL NOT help diverticulitis. Whole foods, water and low levels of stool softener will (try one cap of Docusate each nite). Also, you…

Republic of Tea makes a choc mint and choc strawberry. tried both. pretty good!

Not a myth. Dairy is a known mucogen though some may be more sensitive than others. If you have any resp issues going on, hot tea (whole leaf white if you can get some) is best. Avoid dairy and sugar until the infection is cleared.

Great for the night before weigh days! Wheee!
-
I did just as you said and feel MUCH better. Two days at or under goal. THANKS!

I had stapling in 2000. Lost over 100 pounds. Gained nearly 60 back and am now working to get back down. You CAN sabotage yourself just as you said. Ave weight gain back is about 50 percent last time I checked the stats.

I signed up for this very thing at a prior job years ago and it was terrible. Nothing like co-workers watching each others' every move. It was distracting and not helpful at all. I hope your office atmosphere does not devolve like mine did...

Dang it, I love Thai food!

Given I don't know what skinny feels like, pretty much EVERYTHING tastes better. Ya, that's a WW saying! Hate it.

And who would ever eat chicken and greek yogurt???
-
That one annoys me too. Never in the history of ever has water made me not hungry. I wish!

People who dont have a struggle really shouldnt state such a struggle does not exist. The sugar thing is about refined sugars, not fruit.
-
YES!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing that crazy trend. I actually saw a nut mix labeled "gluten-free".
-
Sugar IS addictive... for some people. Lots and lots of science backs it up as does my own personal experience.

CLEARLY processed carbs have wreaked havoc on public health. Next!

"All calories are equal." Nope!

My cheats give me sanity and the ability to go out and just enjoy. I moderate my portions because I now just can't eat restaurant sized meals and I don't take anything home. I love going out once or twice a week and knowing I can have what I want "later" keeps me on plan "now". I know I will trend up for a couple of days…

Uh... NOT kicking kittens! Thanks for ruining my awesome quote censors!
