• Finished today! So proud of myself. Looking forward to starting C210K on Monday.
• I finished C25K today! Now on to C210K
• While wheat spaghetti tossed in olive oil with spinach and minced garlic. I add cubed chicken breasts to make a nice meal. Take out the chicken and you've still got a carb loaded meal
• I would take inventory of what you're eating. How much is healthy vs unhealthy. If you're binging on snacks, especially the salty and savory kind, try to find some alternatives. Air popped popcorn and Pirates booty are snacks I've been eating more of. If you need sweets try small prepackaged portions of ice cream, I've…
• I don't ever eat back my calories lost from exercise. I keep my eating plan pretty much set the entire day. I've lost 75 lbs since January. I believe it eating back cals lost from exercise has a huge part of that.
• The photo on the left was from approx 3 years ago, on right is a few days ago. Not sure my weight in the before but my highest was at 367. I'm now in the low 290s, for a nearly 75 lb loss. Still got a ways to go but very excited to keep making progress every single day
• Finished W8D1 this morning before work. Weird to think in a few days I'll be completing an exercise plan that once seemed impossible, but it gets easier everyday. I frankly can't believe I can run 28 mins without stopping and will soon be able to run a while 5k. Now to just keep it up and work on lowering my time
• I had a similar experience over the weekend. Had 3 slices of pizza for lunch and I laid back on the couch feeling so gross. 6 months ago I wouldn't have batted an eye at that. I've learned the difference between feeling full and satisfied and feeling full from being way overstuffed. It's a good lesson to learn
• Definitely a difference. Whenever I step on the scale I remind myself, in order to avoid disappointment, "if I'm not lighter I'm still stronger. And that is just as important."
• Well it might not work for you but I can tell you my plan. Today I finished w7d2 and after finishing next week I plan to still get up for my Monday Wednesday Friday morning runs and plan to simply run 5ks and on Tuesday and Thursday I plan to start C210K in the afternoons
• My "In 5 Weeks..." Result represents a 100 lb total loss! Honestly never thought I'd see that happen. It may take more than 5 weeks, but it's in sight
• "There is only one thing I hate more than lying. Skim milk, which is water that's lying about being milk." -Ron Swanson
• Did an hour on the treadmill yesterday at mostly max incline, with running for the last ten minutes. At the end of the hour I felt strong so I ran another 2 miles without stopping. Wouldn't have ever imagined doing that 6 months ago, let alone 6 weeks ago. Felt great
• Download Couch to 5K. I just finished week 6 yesterday and have been able to run up to 25 mins without stopping so far
•
@elphie754 - McDonald's got sued over hot coffee. And I'm sure there are other silly things I'm not aware of.
McDonald's deserved to get sued over there hot coffee too. The victim in that case suffered 3rd degree burns because around her... Lady parts... And spent a week in the hospital getting skin grafts…
• No it's not. Olympic sized is 50 meters. 66 laps is a mile at 25 yard pools, which is your most common sized pool.
• I'm so bummed that I've reached the end of this thread. Been going thru it slowly past couple of months. Hope to put up my own story sometime this year. Congrats, you all look fantastic!
• Salmon, patted dry, seasoned with salt and pepper. Heat oven to 450. Heat up a tsp of Olive Oil in cast iron or any oven safe pan until it hits it's smoke point. Put it on the piping hot pan skin side up for 90 seconds, and flip and put on the hot oven for 7 minutes. It'll be just how you want it
• I had to cut ANOTHER new notch into my belt before work this morning because they were sagging too much to look professional. That's now two notches in past several weeks I've had to add. Guess I'll be needing to buy a new belt soon
• Praise the Lord! I'm also finding myself in prayer often for strength, energy, and motivation. Started 367, down to 310 today. Look forward to surpassing 100 and much more. Well done!
• I've had to remove 1 to 2 links on several watches because my wrists are smaller
• Sometimes I'll walk thru the danger aisles too to test my willpower. Yesterday I thought I could handle buying some mini ice cream cartons and went and picked up a couple but decided I didn't need them and put them back. Today I was doing my cardio and I ran 25 mins without stopping, a new high for this year!
• If you have access to a pool I'd highly recommend getting involved in swimming. Super low impact on your joint. Really relaxing to just float around. Can go at any speed you want. Helps you stretch out. Might reduce some of your aches and pains
• Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I went with a few rolls of this 3M tape and used today for the first time. Sweated through my shirt but no chaffing. Seems like a good solution for now.
• Today I... Weighed in and surpassed the 50 lb lost milestone!
• Male 5'10" SW 367 CW 318 People started commenting around 40 lbs, so pretty recently. It was mostly because my face is less puffy
• Today my boss asked me why my face looked different. Lol. Then she asked if I'd been losing weight. I smiled and said yeah. She said it was noticeable
• My dad is going to pay for me (and anyone else in the family that wants to join) to go on a skydiving adventure once I can hit the weight requirements (230 lb or less). Also getting an upgraded wardrobe. Clothes for dudes my size are basically hair giant sheets and I want to actually look good out and about.
• I finished C25K Week 3 and am looking forward to crushing week 4
• Original Oreos with a huge coooooold glass of milk is on par with the finest of desserts ever made. I remember being on vacation in Charleston, SC and we went to Costco to pickup some groceries and they were giving out samples of Oreos. I thought "do they really need to market Oreos?" And then I thought "this is my…
