Thank you. I swear, I have lost 14 of the 16lbs from my rib cage and back fat. I didn't realize I had so much until I started losing it. I have bony sticking out ribs for the first time in my life and it's weird to see a skinny person's rib cage when the rest of me is still padded.

September 2016 weight unknown because I didn't have a scale. Jan 26th 2016 started a C2K5 for fun not weight loss, but a running site said that people often gain weight when they start running from increased hunger. YIKES. I couldn't have that. Joined MFP at 150.6 lbs no photos. March 3rd, 2016 at 144.0 lbs Today, April…

Ok. The photos. I'm posting them in the checkin thread too. September 2015 right after adopting Finn and realizing I would be walking an hour a day every day. I thought I would tone up and lose weight by increasing my activity level. Ha! Weight unknown because I didn't have a scale. Jan 26th 2016 started a C2K5 for fun not…

You have my sympathy and I hope that this over for you quickly. Those work hours are exhausting.

It's just angst so I will try and get the photos taken tomorrow. I will post them in the challenge thread and I may post them here too. That way I can shamelessly ask for validation that it is visible since I'm not talking about WL in real life so none of my friends have said anything. They are being nice, I'm sure. This…

Ok. I have a surprising amount of angst about taking the progress photos. What if they don't show the progress? I've lost 9 lbs since March 1st and 16lb since starting MFP and nobody in real life has noticed. Heck, I only notice when I'm naked because my back fat is gone and my photos are fully clothed because that's how I…

That's good to know. I tried coconut water one time, strait from a coconut at a festival, and I didn't like it. I'll try it again since it could have been a bad one and because it takes trying new things a multiple of times to be sure. If I still don't like it I'll pick up a multi vitamin that contains potassium. I've been…

Sucks that it happened today but you didn't gain 4lbs overnight. Give it a few days and it will gone and if you stay on goal more could go with it. I'm always up on Monday and Tuesday (and even Wednesday) because my weekends are sodium heavy. I rarely go over but the salt makes me puff up like water filled balloon. I have…

A wedding is exciting. A dress size is a lot of pressure for sure but you can do it.

The Indian food didn't happen today. I did start the lentil curry in the crock pot but when I opened to fridge to make the side I saw the leftover cabbage from last week. Can't let that spoil and also it was a hungry day where I want to eat and to really stuff myself full. That sort of day calls for Spicy African Stew.…

@HASWLRS, thank you for the welcome. Cooking Indian cuisine is my favorite. I went GF ages ago for medical reasons, way before it was popular, and struggled until I found Indian, African, Mediterranean and Asian recipes. It's much easier to avoid wheat when making food from places it doesn't grow naturally. Of that area…

Hi, I'm from team 10 and happy to be joining. An abbreviated bio: I started C25K in late January and Finn (my dog) loves running and he makes sure we are out pounding the pavement every day. I'm this close (holds thumb and finger touching) to my goal weight and might make it during this challenge. I enjoy cooking and food…

It looks like rain. And it must not be just rain but a storm coming in since Finn is hiding in the back of the closet instead of trying to push me out for a run. I might get a day off! But that means I'm going to have to go back and look at my pedometer for the week and count all my daily walking steps to reach the 26 mile…

Things I have already gained from this challenge: 1. A community- I'm doing my best to not talk about weight loss, tracking food, or exercising in real life and yet it's taking up a large portion of my mind. It's nice to have a team to share with. 2. Education- I'm learning so much. That I'm fitter than I think. That I…

That he does. He doesn't believe in rest days either, although he will call a day off when it's thundering (safety first). I don't have that sort of motivation. On my own I would think about getting out and walking while binge watching TV and I would never run. Never. Turns out it's fun. Who knew?

How is it already Wednesday? This week is slipping away. It's grocery shopping day and I'll see if they have any nice fish. Sometimes my grocery store has good stuff sometimes it doesn't. Worst case I'll pick up canned salmon and greek-yogurt-cream-cheese for lettuce wraps. Yum! I had a whoosh last week and it stopped 0.2…

Me too. I'm still here.

Good for you. Raising a glass in toast to a brighter future.

I just filled in the spreadsheet for you. Have a nice trip.

Back from doing stairs. First, I was happy to find out that between each floor was the same number of steps as at home. Second, omg, the fire stairs are claustrophobic and hot. Third, I think of myself as out of shape and I thought 3 (or maybe 5) floors would be easy and then it would get hard. Nope, not at all. The first…

I got you added.

Love this. I've done the stairs in my house 2x a day for 15 min at a time on my work breaks. I lost count days ago somewhere around 90 since I wasn't sure if I needed to do it twice to count as a story so I've definitely reached the goal. The going up my little house stairs is easy but the going down does me in. I have…

What a horrible way to spend a week. I hope you feel better soon.

1 - Make a list of your favorite healthy foods. 2 - Once you’ve identified what foods you love the most, you can then determine what it is about those foods you love so much. Perhaps its a particular seasoning, the texture, the color, or even the smell. 3 - Once you identify why you love it, see if you can find ways to…

I'm just back from my run and hit a personal best on mile three (thank you Zombies,Run). Then did the stars in my house up and down 10 times. Fun, and I will do it all week, but I think I want to scope out an office building or hotel on Saturday and really give it a go.

Not so much about handling the stress but I can tell how I stopped using an external device (online shopping) to sooth myself. I don't know if it is at all helpful but here we go. First: have food on hand because it's hard to make good choices while hungry. Ok, now that you aren't starved some things that helped me. I went…

What if you keep going as often as you do but you carry a basket instead of push the cart? I find in a cart the food looks tiny but the same amount of food in a basket is heavy and triggers the thought that I'm buying lots of food.

It was weird at first, and I still slip, but getting this under control has saved me so much money. I no longer worry about sales. I buy the milk in the cute quart jug. I have fun in the store picking out new brands or organic that I never thought I could afford. How I did it. Once a week I make a meal plan. I pick out a…

It not just eating out. It happens when I add some food for the meal on my phone in the kitchen and looking things up and adding the rest on the PC in the den (because I need the keyboard). It can take hours to sync unless I do it manually.
