  • I agree that what you're going through isn't easy, but you're pretty bold to come on here and say you're more dedicated than I am, or your struggle is more real than mine, because you have decided to pursue a medical solution to force your hand regarding the lifestyle changes you didn't make that led you to need the…

  • Well I can't be certain of people arguing with airlines over this, I think it's definitely an issue. And I've seen on many FA blogs that this is something they are adamant is "discrimination". http://thisisthinprivilege.org/post/75175648977/the-thin-privilege-of-airline-seats-and-ticket…
  • I'll also comment that a lot of issues I have with this "movement" have to do with the lack of consistency when it comes to the "voice" of the FA movement. I think the people with the loudest voices are often the extremists of any issue, and because of this it's very easy to get a narrow perspective on what the issue…
  • Agreed. Also, I have an issue with things like flights and such. If you take up two seats you have to buy two tickets, the dissent in the FA community about spacial realities baffles me. I don't want to shame anyone, but reality still has to be taken into consideration.
  • OP, I think you should do some serious research if you want to be a nutritionist some day. It would be extremely bad practice to recommend so few calories to anyone unless they were being medically supervised.
  • I've been coming back to the 30 day shred time and time again because if I'm disiciplined enough to work out at home her programs are BOSS and fast so I don't hate getting up a bit early to do them. Can I get up 30 minutes early to work out? sure. 60? NOPE.
  • you get that median isn't average right?
  • I wouldn't be sorry, and depending on the kind of sex you're having (fetish anyone?) fitness can be a huge component of even being able to have the kind of sex you want. TMI - but my bf and I have sex on average 2-3 times a day (even after 3 years dating) and I can't remember the last time we were done in under 20. Hell…
  • This one is always my least favourite and the closer I am to the person that says it (like my boyfriend's comment about how much better sex is now) the more it stings. I had to resist the urge of physical violence. it was hard.
  • I would consider that your doctor may be getting paid to push this pill. I'd get a second opinion, or better yet, just a new doctor.
  • This is pretty helpful because I was also wondering why I always ended up at 1200 lol
  • psyllium husks are an easy way to get fiber if you need a supplement. You can find that almost anywhere. Otherwise you can eat things like chia seeds as mentioned above which are AMAZING for fiber/omegas/passing liver salts. Can't really say enough good things about them.
  • I think you're doing really well! Most people will lose a lot in their first few months and as others said, slow down over time. The trick is to not put yourself into stress by eating too little, exercising too much, or stressing too much about it. Are you tracking measurements as well? That will be extra important if you…
  • at my work we have this new hire tradition where the new person comes in to the office with cookies they've baked. We're a pretty fast growing lil company and sometimes there are cookies 1-2 times a week. Without fail every time I introduce myself but refrain from taking a cookie, I can tell that the person is clearly…
  • The person who said "It won't help" isn't a doctor and I'd also venture to state that they aren't as informed as they could be. There are clinical studies which can easily be found online (google scholar if you're in uni, bodybuilding.com has a lot of references) that prove the effectiveness of CLA in helping to metabolize…

  • his thread is giving me life.
  • I'm thinking more like 10 pounds for me. And 3.33 lb a week is NOT unhealthy if you have a lot of weight to lose, and are doing it correctly.

  • add me too!
  • Unfortunately almost all soy is GMO and it causes unhealthy estrogen production. I avoid soy. Almond milk is good (expensive in Canada where I'm from) but a nice alternative. Coconut milk is good too but higher in calories.
  • the struggle is real! Glad you're on the right track.
  • When in doubt, if you're consistent and work really hard and nothing is working, see a doctor (naturopath is my preference) to see if there is something you don't even know is affecting your success.
  • as long as you think you can keep yourself motivated without the WW group support, I'd give it up. We're always here if you need someone to chat with (add me!) and there is so much information available right now for free on the internet that you really don't need to pay. If you're dedicated, motivated, and you think you…
