  • I would probably get a cable machine. Or for less space and money, I have an adjustable pull-up bar and pulley system.
  • I think you recomped a bit. You look slightly leaner and 2lbs heavier.
  • I just lay the phone on the wood. I have a leather case so it doesn't really slip. I have debating about making one and gluing some foam on it and cutting out a rectangle for the phone. I also cut some PVC pipe to see if that makes an easier column than making a square, but haven't tried it yet. I also made my own Swedish…
  • I just but a piece of 1/2" wood about 18" sq, made a box with another strip about 3-4" high and glued that to a base. Sat a lacross ball on top of the box and voila!
  • This. It was the suddenness (to them) that shocked them. I had a similiar situation with a co-worker. Hadn't seen them in person for months and months and then when I did, they had lost a LOT of weight. To me, an almost unhealthy amount. Immediate first thoughts were 'Oh no, he's got cancer or something!' But a very gentle…
  • It's worth a shot. Other than basic advertising I don't think it would cost you much money to get off the ground as it's really just your time you are marketing. So try it for a month or two and see how it goes. If you end up getting more business than you can handle, then you can start bringing in more people and then get…
  • Thank you for sharing your story. I know as a man, it is sometimes difficult to open up and admit to these things. You are very brave. I feel fortunate to have caught onto the beginning symptoms of obsessiveness when I first started on here. I had never measured and tracked calories or exercise burn before and while it was…
  • I’m cheap. I made my own for about $5. The app is free. 🤗
  • In a previous life I was a Skin Care Scientist for a cosmetics company. I vividly remember my boss telling me his Ph.D mentor and renown dermatologist told him once that people should only use soap once a week and just rinse off the sweat with water in between in order to preserve the skin flora and oils.
  • Front squats and pullups are two great choices. Hanging knee/leg raises, planks.
  • I have an Oculus Quest that I mainly use to play Beat Saber. But there have been some new fitness related games released recently I've been wanting to check out. I used to play everyday, but have only pulled it out once in the past 3-4 months due to just a lot of crazy stuff happening in my personal life. I haven't been…
  • I rarely weigh myself because stuff like that drives me crazy, but when I did I used a trending app. Unless you are a super data person, maybe go to less frequent weighing now that you are in maintenance and use measurements and photos to base your progress more.
  • @alexmose - we have VERY similar frames. You are looking great. I've been tempted to try Creatine as well, but like Sardelsa I was concerned with the weight gain/bloating. I've been MIA from MFP for a while and did a stress cut down to 97lbs. And most of my muscle mass went with it. So I'm pretty much starting over from 4…
  • I have long hair, so it lives in a bun most of the time. Before the gyms closed, I ended my workouts with a swim most days so I was forced to wash it. I can only get one good day out of my curls. After I’ve slept on them, they are trash and it goes up or in a braid.
  • I know I did. Congratulations on an incredible accomplishment that took a lot of dedication and hard work.
  • I'm rarely in here, but Niki my husband has learned to keep his mouth shut for the most part about my body. It's hard because what I perceive as beautiful is not what he perceives as beautiful in general, even though I know he thinks I'm beautiful no matter what if that makes sense. My husband finds muscle definition…
  • Not sure if you are female or male, but as a female having some lower belly fat is totally normal and most people have rolls when they sit. Also, if you've lost weight, the skin tends to be a little looser so things are a bit more jellyish. It might tighten up down the line.
  • Avg. of 0.4lbs per year if you look at current weight at 45 minus weight at 20. But in reality weight was stable at HS weight until about 35 (outside of pregnancy and post-natal). So in reality, it was more like 1lb/year. And it's fluctuated up and down within 10lbs several times. I'm currently sitting about 10lbs heavier…
  • I went through physical therapy and soft tissue manipulation for about a year when I had severe pain from bursitis and impingement. For me, I had to completely lay off of any pushing exercise. No pushups, no benching, etc. I added lots of pulling and dead hanging. Lots of scapula strengthening exercises. I still have…
  • I think those people most likely fall into Category 3. They are emotionally stable and didn't have to think about weight until something changed to throw off the stasis (ie less movement). Now maybe there's a category 4 out there for those with hedonistic tendencies, but I would postulate that they may be Category 2's in…
  • @janejellyroll - I agree that people can fluctuate between groups at different points in their life and I've also heard from other people that are like you-Group 2 with moderate stress and Group 1 with extreme stress. I don't know if I have a very low stress tolerance or just have more than my fair share of extreme…
  • I can tell you that my gut bacteria has lived on a relatively all junk food diet and been just fine. I’ve been thin on a healthy diet and I’ve been thin on an unhealthy diet. I think I should write a book based on my completely unfounded, unscientific, observationally based theory that weight has more to do with anxiety…
  • Can I just say you all rock and thank you for keeping this thread alive.
  • I’ve been somewhat running these progressions to help increase reps on my L-sit pull-ups.
  • You are a thin woman with a small waistline, bad posture and underdeveloped Glutes. You probably genetically have narrow hips, but a lot of the “hip” measurement comes from the size of your Glutes. You can build them up to increase your waist/hip ratio if you like, but I don’t think it’s going to change any health…
  • @alexmose - that is a fantastic recomp!!! I would put you at less than 17% honestly. I think you are probably closer to 15-16%.
  • I downloaded it for the VR, but it didn’t have enough content to keep me coming back. I prefer Beat Saber. My son just showed me one that is similar, but more dance focused called Synth Rider.
  • I love my water rower. It’s pretty, so I don’t mind storing it in my living room. It takes up very little space stored vertically and is quick and easy to roll out. Upkeep is next to nothing. Dust it every once in a while and put in a chlorine tablet every six months. I found mine pre-owned but barely used for 1/2 the…
  • Stomach vacuums are one of the best exercises you can to to target the deep abdominal muscles.
  • @NadNight just posted a very inspirational pic here: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1120789/females-only-lifting-weight-training-results#latest
