41 years old. Hello!
-
I can go up to 8 hours a day, sometimes 10 if I ate a lot before bed.

Does it make sense that as we age, our bodies become more efficient at moving the same mass around causing us to need less fuel for the same activities? I don't think so. If anything we would need more energy to do the same activities since they are harder over time. Is it the muscle loss(sarcopenia) and moving less…

sskyed, more calories in is not the solution. Are you weighing your food in grams in an attempt to be in a calorie deficit? If you're not losing over several weeks, you are definitely eating at maintenance level. Eat less, move more, or do a little of both.

So, no, I did not maintain my weight while slowly recomping but I did a cut to 180 and then bulked back to 215 pounds. I do have some posts in this thread where I did do that with great results, but this time I did a bulk since about August to a couple of weeks ago. Both of these pictures are me at the same body weight.…

I have a 15 year old and a 12 year old so I think I qualify. It's been easier to focus on myself once they got to an age where they are independent.

I mean, that would depend on someones height. You described the Jeff Cavaliere as being heavily muscled and he is about that weight. Idk if you'd consider me as heavily muscled but I am only 175 as well at the moment and maybe 180 in my profile pic.

Full body like always. Leg press, Incline chest press, Pullups, Dumbbell shoulder presses, cable curls, and cable crunches.
-
It would depend on how much muscle you have already gained since 30 pounds of lean body mass on top of their bmi weight is about the max that can be achieved.

So, summer of 18' I was running a lot for preparation for a Tough Mudder event. I think I lost a lot of muscle despite the fact that I was still lifting a lot. Looking back at my food calendar I was only averaging ~130 grams of protein. Once that event was over I resumed the same amount of calories but raised protein to an…

Loves bodies of water.

300-600 carbs a day. I love them, especially coupled with fat. Mmmm, donuts.
-
I cut on almost 100% junk food(as an experiment https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141807961) and am now doing the same with 50% junk while concentrating on getting my protein in. My junk food cut was successful but I do notice I am holding onto more muscle with the higher protein intake. The extra fiber and…

This is why I love being active. I am cutting on 3k a day so I can have 1k in "cheat" calories every day while getting leaner. I don't call it cheating.
-
Dumbbells plus machines are great for any level.

I was just thinking today about keto and not really knowing someone who has a lot of muscle mass who has done keto to get there. I'm sure someone already muscular could maintain with it just like someone already muscular can maintain it with Crossfit even if it isn't optimal for building muscle. Does anyone have any input…

Depends on your goals. If they are strength centered, you want to keep going heavy so that you don't lose it. Pretty much, keep doing what you're doing. Just like @heybales said, as far as keeping muscle mass, it shouldn't matter, just keep pushing yourself.
-
Yes, no need to cut out any foods unless they cause you to eat too many calories. Just lift heavy, get enough protein to repair muscle, and enough carbs to fuel your workouts.
-
Yes, no measuring cups or spoons. They are essentially useless if you want to progress. They can make your counting very inaccurate.

At least 4 protein feedings per day are optimal for muscle gains if you're strength training. That being said, the most important thing by far is your overall calorie intake. At the end of the day, it comes down to what will make it easier to stick to your calorie goals.

My calories have remained at a 3800 calorie average for several months. So the same.

Sorry, I was 22%(guesstimate) last April. I am closer to 13% or so now at the same body weight. I just haven't gotten leaner since November but appear leaner on some body parts because of the muscle increase. My calves, for instance, have gotten bigger because of the increased frequency and even have some veins now.
