I just thought of something I no longer do (sadly). I used to drink about 0.5 to 1 litre of whole milk per day every day for most of my life. I should add that I've also been slim my entire life regardless. I only gained after I stopped smoking and moved to a different country 5 years ago (a western one lol). I can not…

Zoodles are called zucchini noodles and boodles are called butternut squash noodles. You don't need to stay away from carbs if you are pre-diabetic (or even diabetic if it is type 2). Only need to stay at a calorie deficit to lose the extra weight. In any case 30gr spagetti is quite a little amount but adds the important…

First I should say that I can only eat things for 2-3 days in a row before I get pissed off. So I'm not saying this is something you can eat everyday. I was just having 3 days of sqwash spagetti mixed with normal spagetti for lunch (for me mixing them is very important). I boil the normal spagetti (30-40gr) in vegetable…

I would just go for the top sellers on amazon. The one I just found on there is £16 and has lots of reviews so you can just read them and decide. £60 is way too expensive for just a wrist pedometer. Look for something under £20. I use my phone which is very accurate.

Very similar to me. I've lost 14kg since 3 years ago. Gained a few here and there and had to re-lose them. Re-losing 3kg of these 14 now. I'm 7kg from my final goal but these are vanity kgs. It's very slow but at least the situation is always under control.

Totally! I just ate a whole bag of Maltesers (about 450cal) which I prelogged yesterday. Yesterday I had a trifle for desert and the day before that a victoria sponge. I have pizza when I find the calories and I consider pizza healthy. I eat dessert everyday after dinner. I eat most things I used to eat before I started…

The weight on the scale is not just the fat. It's all of it, including water and food and it fluctuates even if your intake is exactly the same. It's a living organism. Read the stickies.
-
You should worry only about fat gain not about general weight gain. If you eat within your calories you're not going to gain fat. Count your calories and don't overcomplicate it.
-
How for example?

I think I would prefer to log my 20k steps manually (or an activity tracker) and set it to sedentiary. Thus way I can log my exact expenditure on the active days instead of leaving it for an average estimate.

If you were told that you have ischemia due to your sugar addiction and your legs need to be amputated, would you keep eating it? Because smokers keep smoking regardless and continue even after they lose a limb and face a risk of losing another. I'm not saying your condition is not serious. It seems it is serious. I would…

Depends how healthy you want your future child to be. I'd go for 2000 personally.

Does MFP give you 2100 when you chose in goals to "maintain weight"? Or have you chosen some rate loss like 1lbs a week?
-
Do you use a food scale?

I don't have to wake up at any particular time, so I usually sleep around the clock, whenever I want to. So if I have decided to try and stick to a particular sleeping schedule I might find this extra rewarding useful. Rewards are useful tools when someone is trying to build habits. It follows the mechanisms in games which…

You should eat 1800+750. It is too low if you don't. WAY too low for a 150kg man.

I use MyProtein (I'm in the UK and it is cheaper to order from their site than from Amazon). Look up the variety of flavours they have for whey protein - like 30 probably. I don't like meat much and 20g protein (25g powder) to flavour my yummy fruit mousse in the morning are most welcome for me. I've been using it for 2…

Did you get this insight after eating the whole cake or before that? 1. No 2. No

Did you bulk up from your lower weight or did you recomp at 109? Or did you go through bulk/cut cycles? Your results seem like a lot of work, well done!

This is not how exercise works. Exercise can help your body to burn more calories (=energy) overall. On its own the exercise does not burn fat around the muscle it exercises. This was something people used to believe in the pre-internet era and is not true.

Yes, that's what is likely happening. You're just maintaining at 155. Mind you the maintanance calories are the same for 155lbs and 148lbs everything else kept constant. Well almost the same. Like 10 calories more probably.

Building muscle for women takes many months and in fact years of regular heavy lifting with an appropriate diet (as in NOT on a deficit to begin with). Sadly. Three weeks is a laughably small period of time. Bodies don't change overnight. You need to be patient. You're probably retaining water in your muscles from your…

Calories are made of macros. Carbs - 4cal per gram Fats - 9cal per gram Proteins - 4cal per gram If you're adjusting your macros in grams then they should account for all your calories. So you've used bad database entries (most database entries are input by random users like me and you and are wrong). If you're adjusting…

Come on now. This sending everyone to the doctors for random things said in the forums is getting rediculous. The OP thinks (like a lot of people by the way as I'm sure you know) that eating at McDonalds is bad. They also don't know that weight has fluctuations. Apparently they are a newby. How on earth is the above for a…

Forget about calories for a while and think the old fashioned way. You're trying to eat less in order to lose weight. You're not losing. Do you start eating even more? How do you measure your food?
-
Incidentally, when your mom said it was a healthy cake did she also suggest you eat ALL of it in one sitting?
-
Do you use a digital food scale for all your food?
-
If something's too good to be true, it usually isn't true. Did you think to yourself as you were eating it "man, 400cals, I can eat 4 cakes every single day and lose 1lbs per week"?

I started replying and then realised you're interviewing. What do you need this information for?
