Hooray for avacado

If you like beans you should try adding lentils as well, they have a ton of protein!
-
This is a good idea, I have all my recipes in my phone, but no reason not to have them on paper. Hope it helps you with your goals

I love beans/lentils, yoghurt, quinoa, nuts and seeds... You'd be surprised how your protein intake numbers go up if you incorporate more vegetables in your diet... Broccoli, peas, asparagus... https://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/vegetables-high-in-protein.php

Traditional lasagna is really not bad on calories if you eat a regular size serving. Eat it with salad and don't go back for seconds. My recipe: 1 box lasagna noodles 1 pound cooked ground beef Cheese filling: 32 oz part skim ricotta 2 cups mozzarella 1 egg 1 tbsp dried parsley 1 tbsp dried oregano 1 tsp dried basil 1 tbsp…

If you can't eat healthy just eat whatever you want and work out a lot
-
What kind of salad are you eating with that many calories? That's very high for salad! Sorry can't help with the chili
-
Stick with it if you haven't lost after a full month you might need to lower your intake or do activity

OK thanks

Thanks that's actually helpful. I have been struggling with protein.

The reason people don't get it is because everyone here preaches about having a deficit and eating back calories burned seems counterintuitive because is shrinks the "deficit" No reason to even make a statement like that. I'm sure astrophysicists find *kitten* easy that you could never understand.
-
Yeah I have a smart scale, the numbers might not be very reliable, however even using a less than perfect method, if uses often trends can be spotted which one can find helpful. Also I can tell when I stopped exercise for almost a month my stomach got larger again even though I was eating at a deficit, but my weight stayed…
-
Agreed.
-
I have noticed that of the 20 lbs of weight I've lost so far less than half were fat pounds, I'm worried that my body is using my muscle instead of my fat to replace the food I'm eating less of.
-
So I thought the point if exercise was to help create that calorie deficit and to hopefully not loose too much muscle when you're eating less...please advise
-
Cool!
-
Try dropping your calories to 1200 then see if you start to lose again.
-
Keep it up!
-
So?
-
Keep it up!
-
Can't hurt to freeze them if you're worried...
-
You can do it, just know you would have lost more if you hadn't.

Totally unrelated but I'm also going to NOLA that weekend. Friend me want to gab about this trip!!
