  • Physio didn't help me with my c5 disc herniation but I highly recommend you do it now because if it does become herniated you will be in severe pain and could lose ability to use your arm if you don't have surgery. I had surgery in 2017 and while it didn't take away my neck pain it gave me back full use of my arms. I still…
  • I'm 5 feet and weigh 140 lbs. I workout 5 times a week and watch what I eat. People tell me all the time I'm so tiny, but I don't see it. I feel fat and not comfortable in my own skin. What matters MOST is how YOU feel. If you don't like what you see in the mirror no one is going to make you see otherwise.

  • I weigh my apples and veggies and fruits, but you are correct, I do not weigh my PB, eggs or protein bar. I cut my protein bars exactly in half though LOL. The PB I make sure it's leveled out, not heaping. But you are correct, perhaps those are hidden cals I'm not taking into consideration. I just don't want to become so…
  • Is that 40 protein, 30 carbs/fat? Sorry if I hijacked your thread btw:)
  • Are you working out with a trainer as well?
  • I appreciate the advice. I really do. That being said, take a look at my dairy and give me an idea of how many you think I should be eating. I'm 43, just barely 5 feet tall and weigh 140. I am trying to get to 125. A measly 15 lbs and I cannot seem to do it. That being said my lowest weight as an adult has been 133. Never…
  • I'm always afraid to post on MFP because I see a lot of people judging others and criticizing them so I don't normally post much. I can't give anyone advice on whether to eat more or less because nothing has worked for me. My trainer said I should be eating 1600 a day....if that helps. I'm going to try eating 1400 this…
  • BTW if you're looking at my journal I've become discouraged over the last two days and sort of pigged out. This is the most "cheating" I've done in the last 6 weeks, so don't judge me based on those days please:)
  • What makes you feel I don't weigh and measure my food? I have weighed every single thing I've consumed. When I first started MFP my cals were set at 1200 and the first two weeks I gained 4 lbs. My Trainer told me I'm not eating enough since my workouts were becoming harder, so I increased it to 1420 and lost 5 lbs in 3…
  • Wow I'm only 5 feet and eat 1350 a day. Makes me wonder if I'm not eating too much since I haven't lost a lb for 6 weeks. I work out 5 times a week, 3 times doing HIIT, twice with a trainer and the other two work outs are 20-30 mins cardio.
  • I heard ya. I was going to have a Pesto Chicken Panini (approx 700 cals) but decided to have my homemade turkey chili instead. Fridays are especially difficult since you've worked hard all week and feel like you need a treat. The important thing is that you log it and move on. Nothing wrong with treating yourself once in a…
  • eejer do you use it?

  • Thank you. My husband use to body build and his trainer swears by it. Just for overall performance, digestion, even helps you "go" apparently.

  • What does woo mean? sorry I really don't know.....

  • Right now I'm not quite sure since it's been 5 weeks since I lost an oz. I feel smaller, I feel healthier and I'm working out and eating better....overall it's a good feeling. Just wish the scale would cooperate.
  • When I first started tracking on MFP I also ate 1200 and gained 3 lbs my first 2 weeks. My Trainer told me it wasn't enough food, especially when I workout 5 days a week. I have since upped my cals to 1420, some days 1500 and I've lost 5 lbs in 3 weeks. Don't be afraid to eat a bit more.
  • incredible results - can I ask you ladies how many calories/carbs/fat/protein you're eating each week?
  • when I did low carb I felt light headed all the time, especially so when I didn't take my Potassium/Omega/ Multivitamin pills, are you taking supplements? increasing salt never worked for me, when I had an apple or some type of fruit it perked me up right away. I don't like low carb for that very reason. Plus my hair was…
  • First thing in the morning or sometimes the night before works best for me. Planning is one of the keys to weight loss IMO.
  • Hi, I'm 5 feet also and trying to get to 125 (current is 140). I upped my calories in the last few weeks from 1200 to 1400 and have lost 5 lbs. Just curious, are you working out and how often? Do you watch your macros especially carbs quite closely? how many carbs are you having a day?
  • I made these into 12 muffins and they are awesome!! thanks for sharing. I have them as my evening snack with a tiny bit of cool whip, makes for a sweet rich protein filled dessert
  • At the age of 43 I need to start feeling good in my own skin. Plus my health and feeling stronger. That's what motivates me to lose these last few lbs.
  • I drink around 10 cups a day, so I go every 1/2 hr or so.....my hubby thinks I have a problem too, but he doesn't drink enough water so he's the one with the problem IMO LOL
  • hmmmm I've been trying really hard to not go over my carbs and fats, maybe I should test it out and see if that will work for me. Would be nice to just focus on Calories. I only have 15 lbs to lose so I feel I should be focusing on those things. Not sure
  • I gave up bread and dairy too. Bread because it caused me indigestion and dairy cause my trainer advised me for digestion reasons to stay away from it for a while. I still have a bit of cheese from time to time though. Who can live without cheese!!
  • It does. I cut it into four so it's easier to eat. The ends get crispy so it's not soggy. I also only put a small tbsp of pizza sauce. When I first started making it it got soggy because I put too much sauce.
  • I make my own pizza on whole wheat totilla shells. I put pizza sauce, then my toppings, then a bit of cheese and you've got delicious low carb low calorie pizza. Bake for 10 mins on 500, then broil for a min to melt cheese. You will not know you're not eating the real thing. One tortilla shell has 70 cals, then you add…
  • a small, very sweet cara cara orange, so good. tbsp of peanut butter babybel cheese
