I googled MCT oil (medium-chain triglyceride) and got a whole lot of woo web sites.

It's basically coconut oil. Some bodybuilders are using it because it gives them an energy boost and (supposedly) is less likely to be stored as adipose fat than other fats.
Probably woo....just my opinion.0 -
back in the day when i was lifting seriously, i tried it for a month. didn't notice any real affect on my workouts, so i stopped. i read that it makes some people feel just a little queasy.0

Thank you. My husband use to body build and his trainer swears by it. Just for overall performance, digestion, even helps you "go" apparently.0 -

I hear a lot of inflated claims for it -- like it will burn body fat, increase mental performance, lower bad cholesterol, or reverse certain disease processes. Even when those claims are based on studies, the impact is much smaller than what some supporters claim. That's why I am skeptical.0 -

I can't see the specific weight lost in those studies, but the ones I have seen have been there -- but smaller than what *some* proponents claim. I'm not saying it does nothing, I'm saying I have seen some inflated claims.0 -

I think we could say the same about almost any aspect of health, especially in fat loss. This is one of the few substances that has actually shown promising results.0 -
Yes Ive used it - its gross.
Stick with coconut or olive oil. I find no benefits above regular oil.0
