  • I find Artic Zero to be incredible, after some modifications. If I add a scoop of zero calorie marshmallow or caramel dip to any of the flavors and mix, it turns it creamy and it's incredible! I mean, absolutely incredible and for 150-170 calories for most of the pints, you can't beat it. Although, this stuff intrigues me…
  • I started out at losing 2lbs a week. It was pretty easy at first, because I was quite overweight. As you get lighter, it tends to get a little harder to lose weight, quickly, unless you really cut major calories. I recently adjusted my goal to lose half a pound to one pound a week and that's comfortable for me. Many people…
  • I routinely have a bag of popcorn and a 200 calorie protein bar within a half hour before bed. I've lost 90lbs since Oct. Eat on!
  • How tall are you? Just judging by your weight, I'd imagine you're a reasonable amount heavier than you should be. Weight loss is always quite fast, at first, especially if you're a fair amount overweight. Enjoy it while it lasts, because as you get lighter and lighter, weight loss will slow down quite a bit. Lol. At the…
  • Same here. Six months ago when I first got it, I can't say I could attest to its accuracy but I've consistently lost weight every week since I bought it, including eating back quite a few exercise calories, so I have to assume with the step tracker and GPS, its pretty accurate.
  • Any time that it's not too hot out, is what I aim for. I can usually jog 2-3 times further in cool weather, verses warm-hot.
  • I eat back about 50% of my exercise calories, not always but frequently enough. I've lost 92lbs since Oct. Your body is going to probably get more hungry if you workout a ton, you're burning extra calories to fuel those exercises, so eating some back is natural to do. As long as you're weighing your food and staying in a…

  • I eat a ton of fiber and the only downside is, I get horrid gas.
  • Speed makes a difference. The faster you move, the more energy/calories your body expends. When I walk a mile in about 16-17 min, my GPS watch has me usually burning anywhere from 105-110 calories. When I jog that same mile in about 9 min, my GPS watch has me burning roughly 140-150.
  • I exercise and reward myself for it. For example, I love video games. It's been a passion since I was a kid and I am into every kind you can imagine. I sometimes, like to sit for several hours and game. It's just what I enjoy. However, I won't allow myself to sit and game for an afternoon or evening until I've gone out and…
  • Although, I rarely leave that little for dinner, if I do have a small amount left, I just go jog for two or three miles. Takes me about a half hour and I can usually earn back anywhere from 300 to 500 calories. Obviously that's an estimate but then I'm usually not going over and if I do go over, it's not by much.
  • I've been drinking Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi by the truckload since October. I'm currently down 90lbs. Party on!
  • I hadn't kept track of what class I was, ever, until the other day, I decided to look. Back in October, I was Obese Class III. I'm currently overweight. It never felt so good to be overweight! Lol
  • That's what I was going to say. I wish we could check in with the OP in ten years. I'd bet dollars to Pesos, he'll have cracked by then. And I'm not saying that to be a d!ck, but completely cutting out all sugars and grains is a pretty extreme measure and one that would be hard to keep up, in the long term, in my opinion.
  • I eat Act II Light Butter. I've been through TONS of popcorn and this kind tastes the best, to me, for the calories you're eating. Serving size - 3 tablespoons-unpopped, which makes 6.5 cups, two servings per bag which makes 13 cups, total. 13 cups X 15 calories per cup = 195 calories per bag. And that usually ends up…
  • Some people choose to eat back some of their exercise calories and some people don't. You can certainly eat back some of those exercise calories, however, I wouldn't eat them all back, since exercise logging can, sometimes, be inaccurate. I try to stay around my goal, before exercise. However, I do, sometimes eat back…
  • I don't eat a ton of mine back and a lot of times, I try not to eat any back. But... I will eat some back if I feel hungry, which is naturally going to happen, especially if you're doing big workouts. For example, on days when I jog 5+ miles, I typically end up burning anywhere from 600-800+ calories. Naturally, my body is…
  • I run about 5k every day and I usually average about 34 minutes. I'm 35 years old.
  • I've been eating popcorn by the buckets, sometimes a half hour before I go to bed. I've lost 88lbs since Oct.
  • You should allow yourself a treat every now and then, within reason. Completely cutting these things out and being too tight can result in a long, boring life, where eventually, you might just binge-out from being too uptight about enjoying yourself, every now and then. I have a few friends who've done extreme diets where…
  • As long as you're eating enough and getting the proper nutrients to support the workouts and don't feel like you're straining your body, have at it!
  • Like others have said, it's really just a waiting game and being at a deficit. I had a big belly at the beginning of my weight loss journey 7 months ago and while it's still there a little bit, I've lost 85lbs and guess where it's most noticeable? My belly... and I don't do any sit ups or similar exercises, just a lot of…
  • Are you measuring and weighing? You say "Estimating". That's definitely not the best way to go. Always measure and weigh. Weighing on a scale would be best, but measuring at a minimum.
  • I use a Garmin VivoActive. I wanted something with GPS as I feel, along with the step tracking, that's a good way to accurately calculate burned calories, since it can track how long it has taken me to go from point A, to B, to C, etc... I also love the Garmin Connect software. It tells you every minute detail about your…
  • I wasn't necessarily saying it's hard to follow, just that, it's already enough work keeping track of calories and behaving yourself for a lot of people, so I don't understand why people choose to follow any specific diet which excludes all kinds of stuff and complicates your diet even further. Again, some might not care,…
  • There are awful foods out there, for sure. But there's been donuts, soda, candy bars and chips forever. People are simply lazier these days. Video games, TV, movie streaming, phones, tablets, etc... People don't go out in the world like they used to. I think that's the larger problem.
  • Breakfast just usually makes me hungrier, faster. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat, unless I stuff myself, which I don't want to do.
  • I don't understand why anyone undertakes complicated diets by cutting anything out. Calories in/Calories out. That's the simplest and most basic way to lose and maintain weight. Unless you're a tri-athelete or a body builder whose trying to win the Mr. Universe, there's no reason to not just monitor calories while making…
  • There's no such thing as a plateau. You simply need more exercise. And I don't say that meanly or as criticizing, but adding more trips to the gym or some extended outdoor jogging, etc, will result in weight more burned calories, which will result in weight loss. Obviously, your mileage will vary because nobody is the…

  • I'll either stay under for a few days or, if I know I'm going to eat out on say, Sat, I'll jog a couple miles on Fri and then again on Sun. It all evens out as long as you're logging things and blanacing it out in the end.
