I have Hashimotos - I take medication for it and eat a whole food diet. When first diagnosed I took Synthroid, but it didn't help so switched to a naturally dissected thyroid hormone called "Nature Thyroid" which is also a prescription med. This works much better for me-but everyone's different. Can't say fatigue and brain…

I agree with those saying just pay attention to the overall trend-I'm on week 7 and have lost 7 pounds- but it goes up and down like you mentioned- maybe try the app "Happy Scale" as it keeps an average trend and allows you to set mini-goals. First 2 weeks I had no loss at all then it started dropping- I've also noticed…

I was a teacher for 20 years- I sought counseling during some difficult times in my life before and during my teaching career- many of the people I know-of all ages- have sought counseling at some point in their lives- life's challenges can get tough for anyone. Not sure why you think this would impact your future…

Hey Pianorun! I also play piano and picked up guitar about 6 years ago (music junkie here)- anyway, I'll be 60 in November and yeah, it's been harder to lose post menopausal (hypothyroid as well), but it's coming off at about a pound a week which is fine with me. I basically eat a whole food diet- cut out most sugar, white…

I feel best eating lower calorie- eat roughly 100-125 grams carbs- whole food diet- seldom eat real junk food- balance, nutrition, and variety is my preference. Eating around 100 grams of carbs gives me more variety and also seems to keep sugar cravings under better control.
