Am I missing something. Did OP say she had an eating disorder. I thought she said gastrointestinal issues.

I hope your wife and daughter fully recover. My condolences on the death of your son in law. That's a lot of tragedy. I would have fallen off under those circumstances.
-
Thanks. Makes sense to me. I agree it's probably water.

You don't use BMR to determine your deficit. You use total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) to determine your deficit, which is what cwolfman13 was saying in his post when he said you burn merely existing, doing day to day stuff and exercising. That's TDEE.

I know it can be hard to get back on track. It happens all the time. Just hang in there and do your best.
-
Omg. Are you serious?! That first sentence was rude and unproductive. Awful

I'm no professional but its my understanding that excessive weight loss can trigger binge eating disorders in some people. Doesn't happen to everyone. For whatever reason some people may be more susceptible to BED based upon many factors.
-
This seems like a troll to me. No way was that a real post. I have really enjoyed some of the responses though.

I use at least a can a week. I know it adds extra calories. I estimate an extra 150 calories or so a day. Hasn't impacted my weight loss as far as I know. I'm relatively thin.

I really like this post.

I roast acorn pretty much everyday now that pumpkin is out of season
-
I ate them the whole time they were in season. I love them. I eat them fresh. I cut and cube them and roast them daily when they are in season. You must have purchased them frozen?
-
Unfortunately dieting can cause binge eating. I wish you all the best.
-
Did you binge before you started this diet?
-
Maybe you should seek counseling. I wish you the best.
-
It messes with my hunger for a couple of days. I just ignore it.

Hi, how many months did it take for you to gain the 80 pounds? If you are binging to that degree, perhaps you should see someone who specializes in BED.
-
I see why you did it. You still see food as a reward. I do too sometimes. Most of that is temporary gain that will go away in a week or so. You may have gained 2 pounds of actual fat. When I have those huge swings, I go back to a slight deficit and wait it out.

A Joyce Meyer quote. Awesome. I used to watch her every single day!

I had it for 6 weeks and broke down and took the steroids. I was on 20 mg for 7 days. I actually lost 2 pounds and my back pain went away. It took another 2 weeks for the numbness in my foot to go away. I have heard that a chiropractor helps a lot.
-
How long did you take it before you stopped?
-
I actually think what it says is that she has an eating disorder, which is a mental health issue and she needs help.
-
Yeah he came knocking at my door this morning. I hate the guy, but what's a girl to do.
-
I'm glad you are better. Take care!

Sometimes, you can do everything right and stay within the plan and not lose anything for 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden, you get a 4 or 5 pound loss. So many factors impact scale weight that have absolutely nothing to do with fat loss. It looks like you set a 14 pound target based upon how much you lost the first couple of…

Does it stay up until your next cycle? I have a similar issue, but mine is 1-2 pounds. It's fluid due to the increase in hormones and it can stick around for the entire time until your next period or close to that time.

My lowest weight is around 4:30 p.m. because I have been fasting for 18 hours. My weight is higher in the mornings because I eat all my food between 5:00 p.m. and 10:30p.m.
-
No I fast. I started IF 16:8 last fall but most days I go almost 19 hours. Today 21 hours. Didn't break fast until about 7 pm. Dinner is in the oven now.
-
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best. I know that feeling out of control can be very stressful.
-
It's probably just water weight and tissue swelling from the hormones. You may want to try to ride it out a while or change pills.
