Ditto. 15 cookies. LOL

Most of my life until almost 2 years ago I was an emotional eater. I didn't cope with it unfortunately. I would give in. When I started this weight loss journey, it stopped naturally not sure why this time but it did. I will say that now I'm becoming peri-menopausal I sometimes feel a twinge of that desire to emotionally…

That's true but mine never add up across. I think there is a glitch in the program. I input my information directly from the packaging of the items that I buy, which can be off by up to 20%. I also use the USDA database. However, if I do the computations for the macros at 4, 4, 9 I usually come up with higher calories than…

I also do IF 16:8. Most days I go longer than 16. Usually between 17.5 - 19 hours. Hormones don't really impact my hunger cues. So my fasting window doesn't change unless I feel fatigued. Then I'll eat a few slices of cucumber and a couple slices of apple, which is how I break fast. Then I'll have an egg salad after 5.…

Both actually. Sometimes I've eaten 3,000 calories total for the day. Sometimes I've eaten 3,000 calories over maintenance. Calories can wrack up when you eat calorie dense treats.
-
Lol. 300 over maintenance isn't bad. My one adds up to more than 3,000 calories. So thank goodness it's just one day. Yes my appetite drops when menses starts. This is due to the rise in estrogen once bleeding begins. Thank goodness. I guess that nature's way of giving is a break. I generally get cravings but not a…

True another physiological reason for cravings is nutritional deficiencies.
-
I'm glad the impact has been minimal. Unfortunately, we all react differently to the ebb and flow of hormones. It's a delicate balance. For some women, there is little to no impact. For others, it's a tidal wave of anxiety, depression, agitation, food cravings and other physical and emotional responses. Thank goodness I…

My sympathies. It's rough. Is it uncontrollable for 10 days? Has it impacted your weight. I have to be honest. I would really worry if I felt like that for two days let alone ten. Omg.
-
Absolutely. It's like trying to tame the beast within. Not sure how old you are but I used to watch the series the Incredible Hulk many years ago. I feel like David Banner trying to fight the raging monster. Too much effort. So I give in because it's only one day. I eat a ridiculous amount of treats then back to normal…

Someone posted about knowing your "why". Try to focus on why you began losing in the beginning. It's hard. I wish you the best!

I started IF 16:8 in October. I love it. I feel like I have more control over food. I have learned a lot about hunger cues. I may get a little hungry a couple times during the day. But it passes. I enjoy holding off on eating because I love being able to eat bigger meals. I'm hoping I can keep up this eating style. I think…

Yeah it's hormones. Our hormones can cause weird things.
-
So was today Day 3? Sometimes it's challenging to get back on track after being off a few days. Try to go back to a slight deficit and see if that helps.
-
I don't consider it a cheat but yes I go way over on my calories eating hormonally every 4-6 weeks. I eat at a slight deficit the rest of the time. So it balances. This month I didn't get cravings. Got cramps and insomnia instead which I never get. So I didn't overeat this time. I have that one big splurge day and that's…
-
Understandable. I'm sure you will get back on track. I know after overeating during my holiday visit with family for 3 days, it took almost a week for my body to stop craving the foods I ate. So I think this week's cravings is a result of your past 2 weeks of eating. Give it some time. Happy belated birthday!!!!

The Samoas would be gone. The brushing teeth trick doesn't work for me. I got braces about 17 years ago. During that time I developed the habit of brushing every time I eat or drink. If I just drink water I won't brush, but if anything else to eat or drink goes in there, I'm brushing. I can't stand the aftertaste now. I…

Could it be hormonal eating? This can happen before menses or during ovulation.
-
I agree.
-
Yes I have heard that counting and tracking can cause some to think incessantly about calories.
-
Calm down. I will not argue with you.
-
I have many times. I'm an abstainer. If there is a trigger food that causes me to lose control, I don't buy it. Many people are moderators and can eat things in moderation. I'm just not one. I accepted that and incorporated other delicious foods that I can eat in moderation.
-
Don't accept someone's diagnosis of you on the internet. If this becomes something that continues to impact your life maybe you should consider speaking with a professional. Good luck!
-
Lol on the toilet flush. I hope your stress is relieved soon and good luck.
-
Yeah something was off here. This person was either a troll or has very serious issues.
-
Do you eat them everyday?
-
I did 6,000 a day over the Xmas holidays. I was visiting family and it was lots of good foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You'd be amazed at how quickly calories add up. At cheesecake factory, spinach dip, burger with fries and dessert is about 5,000 calories. That's just one meal. YIKES!! >:)
-
I usually have one snack a day which is cucumber and apple. I save the rest of my calories for my meals.
-
I dry pan fry mine to give it more of a "pasta" texture. Boiling and rinsing gets rid of any smell for sure. From what I hear, just rinsing alone would remove the smell, but I still prefer to boil in water with a cap full of vinegar.
-
I love them. I eat them in Asian and non Asian dishes.
