I don't do daily yoga anymore but I did do a 30 day daily yoga class in January... I did yoga camp with 'yoga with Adriene' on YouTube... Think it will be a good way to start a daily practise.

@pgrey007 thank you. 10%, that's good to know because I was wondering who to increase.
-
Thank you. Will check out map my fitness too

@meandringmammal thank you for the advise. That's good to know. I'll move onto increasing my distance after having finished c25k. Will have another look at 10k apps. I do like following an app as it motivates me.

I started running 8 weeks ago. I'm not at all fast or super slim lol. I just put my music on, head phone in and look at the road ahead. If another runner comes past or someone walking their dog I give them a quick smile and carry on my merry way.

The phone app works fine for me atm except when you get home and realise it stopped working 1/2 way through. Only happened once though. Can see myself investing in one though if I keep running. Christmas pressie maybe lol

@edixon127 that's great advise. Thank you. Think that will suit me better than trying to run faster asap. Thank you. @northcascades will check it out although I haven't got the money atm but I can see myself investing in one. Atm I just use an app on my phone but it's not as reliable.

By the way. Love your name. I've been reading books about thru-hiking the PCT which must be in your neighbourhood
-
@northcascades that's great advise. Thank you. How do you record your runs?

Thank you @smiles4no

@respectthekitty thank you. That's winds where I was thinking of going... Not so sure how to work on the speed part... Do I do shorter and faster rund or intervals? I've been using the Active c25k app which I really like. I've downloaded both the Active and the Zen lab 10k app... They're slightly different in their…

@girlinahat will check that one out too. Thanks

@northcascades I love running and I think I'm more interested in further than faster lol so I think that 10k is where it's headed.

I did yoga many years ago (pre child) and wanted to get back into it... I started yoga again last summer using Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. Can't recommend her enough... She has absolutely tons of uploads and there's plenty of beginner classes on her channel, plus she has some short foundations of yoga classes where she…

I've been reading books about thru hiking the PCT lately. Not because I plan to do that (i love in the UK) but because I find the really inspiring. Check out Carrot Quinn's book and another good one is Erin Miller's book (think it's called hiker trash).

Another one who loves c25k. I started of in week 1 got being able to even run all the 1 minute intevals. I 've just unfinished week 7 and I can now run 3k without walking.

Oh and have x my km pace by 1.6 my mile pace comes up as 13 so you're faster than me lol
-
I did w7d1 this morning... I felt a bit like you did on wk6d3 but then I reminded myself that 6 weeks ago I couldn't even complete wk1d1... 60 seconds was too long to run. Wk1d1 was the only day I didn't follow the programmes to the letter. And now I can run for 25 minutes... Yes, my pace is slow (I work in km so will have…

Frank Turner (English folk /rock and a bit punk singer) is my running buddy.

Did you do it? I hope you did!

I'm 43 (just) I've lost 15 kg. I'm close to my goal weight of 70 kg (got about 3 kg to go) and I'm 5"8... The weight loss has been quite slow the last month or two so could do with some motivation. I'm currently on week 6 of c25k. Having gone from not being able to run for 60 seconds at the beginning I ran for a full 20…

Did week 6 day 1 this morning. Ran the furthest I have so far. Edited: sorry for the double post was trying to attach a photo but must have posted twice instead. Sorry

Double post. Sorry

@rnurse82 I did the same those first couple of weeks and thought I'd have to repeat some weeks because there was no way I'd be able to run for 3 mins, 5 mins, 8 minutes... Shudder... 20 mins lol... Even the day before my 20 mins run I didn't think I could do it... But I did!!! Today was week 6 day 1 and I ran the furthest…
