I gave up on doing Keto after finding it did not quite work for me but after an appalling summer food wise, I got back on track few weeks ago and decided to go low carb. My total carbs are generally under 100 and net carbs a bit lower but not super low, a large amount of my carbs are from green veg. I find green veg seems…

When I get really bad, I have to keep telling myself this is not real, this is not real.......... I know life stuff is real but I also on some level know that my feelings and thoughts are not real, they are distorted by my illness. Bipolar I think is a bit like being an unwilling drug taker, people who take LSD and…

I believe anyone can join any time, we all have binge issues in this group. I find it motivating just to come and log my battle results on here. It feels good to be winning for a change, i was seriously losing under a month ago. You can turn things around :) Just past midnight in UK so I can log another days win. Me: 8…

I know I was not the only one who had a rough summer. people may return in lead up to christmas. I joined a couple of other nice groups when returned that might be of interest. I am glad some of the group members are still going strong. My head is back in the game after finally getting over meds issues. Still on track :)…

A loss is a loss so well done, take it and keep going. Maybe weigh less often if it gets you down when scales numbers are not too your liking. As long as you are tracking accurately and within calories eating healthily then the weight will come off. Trust your body I know from experience that weight loss slows and speeds…

I have had binge eating disorder for over 25 years and can confirm the binge then fast cycle and over exercising just makes it worse. I do best when eat 3 meals a day every day if I feel like it or not. When body gets used to regular consistent feeding it seems to kill off all the cravings that drive the binge. Emotionally…

Being a very large person the last time I successfully lost a serious amount of weight no one noticed until I had lost 50lb. Being reliant on others peoples feedback for motivation would not have worked out very well. Fortunately I feel better as soon as start getting rid of excess baggage. I agree we have to do it for…

Yes still on track. I do not track my activity though so have no idea how fitbit mfp syncing works. If over by 150 every day I would adjust the settings to 150 higher. 1000 deficit is enough and you are shrinking still.

I have completed 2 weeks of good solid healthy eating, no unplanned indulgences. I went back to basics of eating 3 meals a day with plenty of fresh real food. I feel so much better when I cut out the junk. Junk food really does make me hungry, the more of it I eat the more hungry I get. Eating real food at deficit I feel…

Yes I eat 1200-1400 cal most days with an open diary. Nothing very exciting in there but for last two weeks I have not been hungry or had any cravings and I am losing weight so something is working.

I like new potatoes with tarragon, lemon juice and olive oil. Sometimes I just use tarragon on its own. Tarragon and potato are made for each other in my opinion. You can buy it as a dried herb in the little jars in supermarket.

Congratulations on reaching 200's. I lost it all twice not to mention all the smaller constant yoyo diets for 25 years solid. Here I am having to lose it all again. I believe there does come a point where we finally learn the " it's a lifestyle not a diet" thing. We have had enough practice runs and learning experiences,…

Monday check in I am pleased to report that last week I ate healthy the whole week and it was not difficult which was nice. I am not doing weigh ins because they fuel my disordered thinking and actions. However I feel better in myself and by all laws of science I must be losing weight as I am eating right.…

My name is Laura, 35 from England UK. I joined MFP years ago. I think this must be my 3rd MFP account as deleted old ones and started fresh more than once I think. I have been binge eating since early childhood. Always been my go to thing to numb emotional pain. I have tried everything I could think of to stop over the…

Thats a lot to deal with. I got my council flat because I am "vulnerable" it is embarrassing but does have some advantages. Bipolar does make me vulnerable. I was signed off from working in 2012 after being manic whole of 2011 and having been asked to move on by every past employer because they did not like me in my…

Very true. It is all about getting the mindset right.

I eat tuna just as is without adding anything. Some lemon juice is nice though, sometimes add dried tarragon. You just get used to it without the added mayo. In past I have used plain yogurt instead of mayo. I also lose plot around overly processed foods such as sugar, flour, soda etc. I find my hunger and cravings drop…

I am recently back on track with eating healthy. I am 35 and live in England UK. I have PCOS, under active thyroid and take Psych meds for bipolar which have weight gain side effect. I also have over 25 year history of binge eating disorder and yoyo dieting. I do best on a low sugar, low processed foods plan. I realize I…

Actually it is a competition with inner munching demons and you are most definitely winning :) .
