I am definitely interested! I certainly have the advantage of a muscular build. Would be a good winter project The thing I want to do is eat right for this kind of effort. Right now I am definitely not. I'd need more protein for sure

Wow, everyone, thank you so much! @agzram you did not hijack my thread, YOU look great and from your profile pic - thats a huge loss! YAY!!! And you are right - @Keladelphia has some abs! @tonyberwald - it'll be interesting to see what happens when you get to 175 and how you feel about it. I'd like to know if the last 10…

I just had a bunch of stuff dumped on my desk, so I'll respond more later to everyone who has offered insight! I'm really appreciative of experiences you all have shared. And thank you everyone who has congratulated me on my loss. Most people offer condolences when you have a loss, but in this case I'm pretty pleased!

My fitbit one, which lives in between the cups of my bra, pokes me in the chest now if I lay on my stomach. Also, I'm thinner than my profile pic on MFP now.

I ride for fun with local cycling groups and have just started commuting by bicycle into work. Its excellent exercise, but like any other kind of workout, you still have burn more calories than you eat. A simple bicycle computer that tracks speed and mileage is really helpful for quantifying the level of effort expended…

Same issue, but I'm quickly approaching the threat of pants around my ankles!

Amazing job! Sticking with it is paying off, you look great!

wow! GREAT job!

Yup 51 - losing steadily. I eat about 1050 calories a day - up to my recommended 1280, with my activity level as the guide. It feels right now, but I didn't start out this low. Calorie reduction was a gradual progression as I moved from 218 down to my CW of 162, with a first goal weight of 145 approaching. I don't go below…

I love looking at this thread because it keeps me motivated to stick to my goal. Everyone who posts here has worked so hard! Y'all rock! I'm kind of bummed I never took pics at my SW, but I was so embarrassed. Now I'm 17lbs from goal and I'll I see are my lingering trouble spots and loose skin.

You are making GREAT progress!

I've ridden competitively as an amateur, which meant training, and socially with a club, which means maintaining a level of fitness to keep up with a group for rides and the occasional century. I'm not a randonneur, by any means - but even when I was riding 3 to 5 times a week, I had to watch my intake if I didn't want to…

I rode my bike to work today! This is great, because riding home is going to be uphill and a little more work!

When you put a suit on for a meeting at work that was fine in February, and the pants just fall off. I currently have the waistband safety pinned in two places, so I can wear the pants without them being around my ankles. As I've got 18 lbs to go, I don't think tailoring is in the future for this one. I am perfectly happy…

Today my suit pants are held up with safety pins. Money is tight and I've still got 18lbs or so to go. I've been buying consignment for my work costume for a while, but I don't like buying interim clothing.

wow thats great! I wonder if thats a thing I could do?
-
wow, tell us how you did it! you look great!

Yay for everyone's mini goals! lots of good ones!

Thanks for posting this! I'm sitting here with a non moving scale (likely due to a weekend of not staying in my limits), and reading your post is keeping my motivation going today.

If you live in a decent sized city, you hopefully have some consignment shops - I have one I really like in my city where I've gotten nice suits for $35.00 or so. Also, I made friends with the woman who runs the store - she was happy to have all my nice plus size clothes! We made some trades, until I hit my current size.…

The chair in my coworker's office now digs into my back. I guess I have less back fat? Also, I notice that my behind is less padded on the toilet seat now and I can feel my butt bones when I sit. My arms are starting to show some definition - like my bicep is noticeable and the flappy bits are less flappy. And I'm not…

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Food scale keeps me honest, on track and is much more accurate than my eyeballs. I'd been guessing on salmon filets and was inadvertently eating 2.5 more ounces than I thought I was :-/

I worked from home yesterday, which is normally (according to my fitbit), the lowest activity day of the week since I walk a lot to get back and forth from work. So I logged off from work and went for a 20 mile bike ride. My fitbit really doesn't know what to do with bike rides, but at one point I looked down at my cycle…

I've always wondered about my strange, non linear weightloss. Since I got back on the wagon (yay!!!) and I'm going for my final goal this time, I'm really curious about what I lose and when. In the last six, six to ten day periods my weightloss has fluctuated from 3.4 lbs to 1.4 lbs. I looked at my fitbit activity and…

I was lying on my bed after work, talking to a friend on the phone and noticed that my quads are visible! And starting to get some definition. I'm just walking and cycling. I think I'm going to start doing some weight training.

5' 5.5" Starting weight - the first time in May of 2014 - so SW: 218 I got down pretty far by March of 2015 169 I stopped tracking for a year and got up to 184 - so SW: 184 I've been back at it since February 2016 - CW: 170 I may change this once I get to it - GW: 150 I find that I do better with little interim goals than…
