Congratulations on getting sober ♥ I walked away from alcohol a few years ago, only started addressing issues seven months - it's amazing. Happy New Year!

I noticed yesterday that Mac's has calories posted right on the fountain soda dispenser. Now all they have to do is offer a diet caffeine free option ;-)

I got a bit angry at this point as it seemed like he just said all the months of working out didn't contribute to any weight loss, and it was just my diet/eating less. What he said was that eating less than you burn is what works, you took it personally and as an offense to your hard work and dedication. It's hard to…

I've bought two pairs of sneakers (Nike and Asics), always end up going back to my old pair of Chucks.

Salt, pepper, marjoram, garlic or onion powder. Don't be afraid to over season, it takes more than you think.

I would've been mortified that someone commented that I was eating "too many" of something. Thankfully, I've only heard stuff like that a couple of times in private, although the way I used to post up next to the food, there was plenty of opportunity. 30 cream puffs is a lot for 40 guests, likely just half would eat…

I thought she was being cute, putting her warm paw on my side...then reality hit. It got cold quick.

I did wake up the other night because the cat peed on me. That was pretty bad.
-
The worst is when I'm woken up for no other reason than someone thought I shouldn't be asleep. That just angers me and ruins my lovely sleep.

Fantastic! It's been 7 months for me, I'll never put another one to my lips. This is the last time I quit smoking.

A heavy chick (5'6, 235 lbs) walked in wearing street clothes (khaki shorts, t-shirt) and had a lost look on her face. She eventually found her way to the elliptical section, fumbled to enter her info on each model, put in less than a minute on each, wiped them all down. Because of that, I know which elliptical works for…

3/3 (1 cup) is 390 calories. You want 1/2 cup...390 ÷ 2 is 195 calories.

I've found myself in situations that dumbfounded me because I'm flirty/playful/jokey. The problem is that it sends mixed signals, you may have clearly stated you're not interested, but your communication tells a different story...they could just think you changed your mind. If you find yourself constantly having to let…

I'm anti-banana as well, also disappointed. I use frozen mango to thicken up my smoothies, seems to go well with anything I put in (frozen fruit, yogurt). Not sure if that counts as added sweet stuff.

A guinea pig and three cats - the girl is in heat and peed on me an hour ago. Hoping it's over in time for her spaying on Tuesday.

Only worry about food if you're allergic. You're on vacation, enjoy yourself. If you're okay with coming home heavier, then REALLY enjoy...just get back on track when home. If not, eat what you want without being a glutton. But first and foremost have a great time!

That's the sensation I get when my shoes are too narrow. Glad you're taking them back, don't suffer through it.

My chicken was raw We waited ninety minutes Cheese steak was all fat

@denato1 Do you have to sit for that period of time or is standing an option? It burns more calories than sitting - it's not a lot, but can add up.

Looks like you have a lot of fun baking, OP. I love the giggly snowman and your creativity!

I say thank her for the gift and thinking of you. Some people give gifts because they expect something in return, others just feel good giving. No need to run out and buy something, even a little handmade thank you card would probably make her smile.
-
I was about 9, got a pair of socks with a pair of earrings shoved inside. It's weird when you know your gift was shoplifted. We don't talk to that cousin anymore.
-
Maybe, maybe not. I think it depends on why those situations occur. I wasn't taught how to eat, but I was taught how to handle money as well as clean. For me, my lack of clutter is deeply rooted in control.

Calvin knows what's up Such an intelligent kid We need more Calvins

Bagels, pasta, grapes, chicken, mashed potatoes

I do it for myself. Although I'm thrilled that some of it has rubbed off onto the hubs, he's learning.

If you're weighing for accuracy, it ought to be raw. You can cook the *kitten* out of chicken to the point of it being bone dry, all that you lose is water, so all the nutrients are still there.
-
I'm a minimalist for sure (the hubs is not), having less stuff makes me feel better. Not sure I'll go for 300 items, however I am going to pack a bag with stuff we don't use, but I dust around, and see how we do without them in a few months. I moved twice and couldn't have felt better about letting go of a ton of stuff.

It helps me hit my protein goal. A bit flat tasting, but I add a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and mix it up with milk. Tasty, nutritious, and satisfying. Some are good, some are bad, you just have to try them out until you find one you like. A friend gave me protein powder once to try, it had a horrible taste,…
