Ditto above... I had surgery with a 10 month recovery... before I was allowed to do anything more strenuous than walking. I just watched my calories and if I was going to go over, I made sure I ate the most luxurious thing I could because why go over eating something that is "meh"

Exactly! I have been using the gym for several years - weights/cardio - especially in foul weather. On a whim I tried a spinner class. Love it! I can't wait for the next one. I am sure I will be tired of it someday and I am not sure what the replacement will be.

I need a project - so I can mentor one or two. Been at maintenance for a long time after losing 75 pounds. I have great recipes and am very active. I regretfully cancelled my old MFP account after I hit maintenance...it was Go_Mizzou99. Been on MFP for about 4 or 5 years now.

I tried not counting after I hit goal...slowly, over time, weight crept back on. 5 to 8 pounds. I tried this twice...failed both times. Put me in the "Logging for life" category.

My longest plateau, when losing 75 pounds in 18 months, was six (6) weeks. Yup - 6 whole weeks without losing a pound. HOWEVER I was measuring chest, belly, hips and saw the inches still melting away, so I plodded on with diet and exercise until the plateau was finally over. Hang in there!
