I posted a Mexican enchilada casserole recipe a few weeks ago. Search for it. Two options...350 and 430 cal. It is delicious. One recipe makes 4 servings. If you need to spice it up even more, add salsa or picante sauce, maybe a little hot sauce.

This one is an oldie - but still stands out - and I will watch it again if you bring it over Six String Samurai

I just had Mexican Enchilada Casserole for lunch - 355 calories (to 430 calories depending on if you add black beans or not) I posted the recipe a while back on MFP. Here is the link…

I personally would not count it unless you are working out. For instance, when I was my former Fatty McFatty self, I wanted to count mowing the grass as an exercise, but I mowed right up to the time I decided lose 75 pounds - so how could it all of a sudden count as exercise when I did it all that time before when I was…

Engineer - desk job - sedentary. But when I go home I ride the trails or work on our farm. It all averages out. BTW - the best total body workout I can do on the farm is clearing fields/cutting trees down and dragging it to the burn piles. Since I want to keep my number of hauls to a minimum, you load up the haul/dragging…

I ride 3 or 4 times a week - typical do sprints on trails for 60 to 90 minutes. Sometimes I go through a few day period where I am very hungry (or is it hangry) - more so than usual. I usually let the scale tell me how much I can indulge. And of course - more protein in your diet can help assuage some of the hunger issues.

I don't hate it...it is awesome for drying our towels when we get out of the hot tub. Actually - don't hate it in the winter and during bad weather. Otherwise I am OUTSIDE!

I thought I could, but I could not. When I lost 75 pounds in 18 months (several years back), I did Atkins (35 pounds), Weight Watchers (next 15 pounds) and then MFP/counting calories/exercise for the last 25 pounds. Atkins was super fast at weight loss, but I found it to be too restrictive to be sustainable...so I went to…

Good question. I would guess you never hear anyone say I am going to the bowling alley to get a good workout... I also have to wonder why "Cleaning, heavy, vigorous effort" is listed as well.

When I punched in the generic MFP 3.5 mph walk for me at 6'0" and 173 pounds - it was only 298 calories. Seems like the fitbit might be close to accurate.

Measure, measure, measure. My longest plateau lasted about 8 weeks (during my initial weight loss of 75 pounds in 18 months). However, I noticed the inches were still dropping so I did not fret. Without measuring, I might have given up.

Thanks for your opinion about the Misfit Shine - but I am wanting a cycling wearable that hopefully does other things well. Unfortunately, Fitbit Charge does not do cycling but it has very high ratings on Amazon.

If you try to count it as weight lifting - you don't get to log hardly any calories because that's the way it is with lifting things up and setting them down. If you try to count it as cardio - you don't get to log hardly any calories because you did not get your heart rate up, there is no exertion, etc.

This thread is the same as the people who dread going to the gym the first time...I get it because I was nervous the first time I went to the gym. Nobody cared. Nobody noticed. After the first time it was much easier. To borrow the words of Nike ... Just do it And then report back because I want to hear how it went.

Go to my profile pics and look at the former Fatty McFatty me and the current me. My former self felt all the trepidation you are now feeling when I first went to the gym. I swear I tried to suck in my gut the entire time I was there. The gym and calorie counting do work...18 months later I was down 75 pounds and in the…

I use Runkeeper. I hear Strava is good too. I have been using Runkeeper for years though - and every time I was about to change they improved it to the point I really like it. I disconnected Runkeeper from MFP though because every MFP meal posted to Runkeeper and it clogged up my feed a bit. Maybe you can try the free apps…

I like this thread :)

Did you hear about the new movie about sex while camping? It was f***ing intense

My wife lost weight 47 pounds (73 to go) and got off BP meds 100%. I lost 75+ pounds, work out religiously, eat right, and still have to take it - it was meant to be I suppose. FWIW - It is benign and I notice no difference when I forget to take it as compared with when I take it.

Look ma! No hands!

^^^this^^^ YouTube is awesome for this! In my area, many gym memberships give you a complimentary trainer for your first (or if you are lucky - first and second) visit. Ask at the desk.

Married 29 year (30 years this coming September)...and 3 or 4 of them were pretty good B) Just kidding - she is awesome and I am lucky to have her.

Inguinal hernia surgery repair - because the mesh failed and I got a triple hernia to let me know. I compare it to getting field dressed and getting kicked in my junk by a NFL punter - simultaneously. On the plus side, oxycodone was amazing B)

Wow! You look great. I always love seeing the side-by-side before/after pics too. Congrats on your loss and best wishes for your continued success!

Still funny! Work is over. Need to go home and lose half a kilo. Cheers!

I did Atkins - lost 30 pounds I did WW - lost 20 more Then I did MFP - lost the rest and kept it off because it is not a diet and it is sustainable Diet and Exercise - That fad will never catch on B)
