@BowlingForHollars My next post was that I thought Avatars qualified as pictures. What I was referring to is no-nothing. BTW - I have been on here for several years as well. Just don't rage quit MFP and have to start a new ID ;-)

I lost 75 pounds in 18 months * 35 pounds doing Atkins...but I missed pasta so... * next 15 pounds on Weight watchers ... but I hated dieting by now * I lost the last 25 pounds doing something really insane...I just counted calories on the MFP app and worked out (i.e. diet and exercise)

I am an avid cyclist who, in a weaker moment, signed up for a Sprint Triathlon. So I added swimming (my gym has a pool) and running to my routine and greatly cut back on cycling since the Sprint-Tri ride is only 15 miles. I am doing the same amount of exercise per week time-wise, just mixing up cycling/swimming/running for…

But you have an avatar...and I (personally) think that still qualifies as a pic. A lot of thought can go into an avatar :-)

Pictures don't have to be a selfie...I see many pictures of someone crossing a finish line, on a bike, in the mountains, etc. You can see the person - but not clearly. I also believe that no picture means that they will not be on MFP 6 weeks from now.

If they tell you just to leave...ask them for 2 weeks severance pay. The reason being is I fully expect you are being professional and will diligently do your job for the next 2 weeks, and if they ask you to leave now, 2 weeks severance is in order. I am an engineer and I own my own firm. It is really not that much money…

OP is spot on...

^^^This^^^ Start with shorter rides. After a week or two, your seat will feel better :-)

OP - I did Insanity a few years ago and felt exactly as you did. What made things all better was switching to every other day workouts (as opposed to 6 days a week) which gave my body time to recover. It took twice as long to complete...but I did complete it and did not give up. Good luck!

How about some trail-cam pictures...here are two of my favorites:

Lacy and her favorite stump at our barn...

^^^THIS - Good summary of above posts^^^ C25K is a great app and i use it regularly. FYI - the app tells you when you are 1/2 way so you can turn around if you are going one way (like on a trail).

I have had arthritis in my left knee for several years. Cycling and swimming, coupled with losing weight, has done wonders to alleviate any pain. I literally have no pain at all now. The downside/upside is I must remain active to keep getting the "no-pain" benefit. To give you an example of how much it has helped, I…

This is my nerdy love-line that I tell my wife: If you were a triangle you'd be acute one.

Seriously OP?

My mistake OP...I thought this thread was about Lunchables for the nerdy...and then I saw it was LunchTABLE for the nerdy. My mistake...carry on.

56 y.o. 6'0" Male HW - 250 LW - 169 CW - 171 GW - under 175 I am currently training for a mini-triathlon and have discovered exactly how much I HATE running haha It took me 18 months to lose 75 pounds - or - "change my mini-van into a sports car" And believe me, it is much-MUCH easier to maintain a sports car than it is to…

Don't throw away your kitchen scale!

Enjoy your boxing! Sounds cool! I cycle a lot and have a 120 acre farm (always doing work there)...so, in a weaker moment, I signed up for a mini-triathlon later this summer (1/2 mile swim, 15 miles cycling, and a 5k). Because of this "moment of weakness" I had to add running and swimming to my workout routine. Swimming…

^^^This is a great channel^^^

Congrats! You will love it! I turned off all of my tracking apps last summer...it was liberating. I could stop and talk to a friend. Sit on a bench and enjoy a view. Grab a snack. Etc. Still did the same workout - it just took a little longer with the breaks. I turn on the apps about once per month to keep me honest now.

+10 pounds for me with my open inguinal hernia repair. As swelling went down, so did the weight. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

Yesterday's Smoked Turkey - mmmmmm

You are correct on the ingredients...But I think you should try it before you knock it. I was surprised myself at how good it tasted. P.S. Chick fil A sauce is something stupid like 150 calories a packet. Might as swear smear it directly on my butt haha.

Blues & Cardinal fan and grew up in STL...but live in central Missouri now.

As long as they are courteous weight and equipment users...all are welcome. Seriously though...I REALLY notice the ones (men or women) that are still there 6 or 8 weeks later (after I first notice them) and are at the gym fairly regularly. They will probably make it and hit everyone of their goals.

Chick fil A Spicy Chicken Sandwich - 490 calories

So slow this season. Enough with the side stories AMC! Sheesh! I am just about ready to ditch the show and wait for the DVD's to come out and binge watch it 3 or 4 years from now. I feel the same about Better Call Saul and Fear the Walking Dead as well. At least I DVR every episode and never ever watch a commercial :-)

It depends if you spouse is home and "helping" you...this can get your heart rate in the fat burning zone

Don't know how you cook them, but hey, they do. If you need to trick your visual senses, add a whole egg and a couple of egg whites...tastes the same. No trickery, gauranteed.
