I'm 54 and had braces put on my teeth about a year ago. I did lose about 10 pounds because my teeth hurt so bad but I still ate just not so much and a lot of soft food. It's all good now and the pain goes away quickly. I've just got a few months left. Invisalign prob won't be as bad as it slowly moves the teeth over time.…

Yep friends and motivation are the key to success and some distraction from eating.

I am a junk food connesuer!! Love it and usually feel some regret after eating it. I can eat a carton of B&J ice cream in about 20 min. My taste varies too.. can be coffee cake one day, candy bars the next, cheetos, and or ice cream is my fav. However.. just think if you lose the weight and subsequently will lose the…

I'm 53 fat to fit together we can do it

I'm doing the same. Drop fat weight and gain muscle. Hard goals but doable. I started at 39% body fat and 151 pounds. Down to 139 and 34% bf in about 2 months. I started working out in the morning before work this last month which really jumpstarted things. Diet is key and staying distracted from bad habits is hard. Must…

I have the jawbone up 2 and love it. Really makes a big difference in my activity and food tracking.

I have a 25 yo son and he is not married yet. I completely understand why you want to look and feel your best. I need more friends to help me stay motivated. Join me if u like but if not blessings

Welcome and stay motivated to reach your goals. I'm in the same boat.. hardest part is making or breaking new and old habits. Take one day at a time and if u slip up don't give up.

I have found time helps with the saggy skin -if you are younger. And slower weight loss helps. I'm 52 and my skin will not bounce back quick if much at all. For cellulite I have found that dry brushing and massage with a good oil does wonders. Just finding the time to do it and some privacy -is what's tough.

Drop the cardio and lift heavy and eat your protein.
-
Try carb cycling and some weight lifting.

Hello. I'm 52 and 5'3" and currently weigh 144. I was 123# about 2 years ago but got married.. I want to get back down to about 16% body fat. I was at 18% at 123#. I like to push myself just to see what I can handle. Not weight lifting yet but keeping my caloric intake pretty low and I don't have much energy right now.…

Simple.. youre gaining muscle and it weighs more than fat. You have got it good as it's hard to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. Nice job!

I have very little willpower.. I would have to not go near it or toss it. Out of sight out of mind.
-
It is hard.. I distract myself -Take a bath, read a book. Take a walk. It's usually because you are focused on food (at least for me)..missing the taste. Im usually not really hungry. Having some coffee decaf or tea helps too. If I cant handle it ill have some protein, 2-3 oz sliced turkey meat and a big glass of water. It…

Vaseline.

Wont gain strength in a day..it takes time. Keep it up and you will b killing it soon. I did Insanity and struggled for a few weeks but pretty soon I was wanting more.

It is difficult for us shorties to lose because of the lower calories our shorter stature requires. For me, my husband is 6'4" and when we eat together I usually eat more.. Im 5'3" and weigh 145. I want to get back down to 125. I've gained 25 pounds since we married 3 years ago. Im 53. I cant mention how many calories I…

I'm reducing cals and not exercising. I've been losing about 1-2 pounds a week. I just started about 3 weeks ago.. I haven't the motivation to get to the gym yet. Fully intend to and my weight loss will increase faster.
-
You didn't mention how old you are. I found its hardest to get skin to bounce back quick the older you are. And a slower rate of loss is more condusive to skin tightening. There's always plastic surgery if you feel so inclined.

You starve the rest of the day . Lesson learned for tomorrow...

You could eat twinkies all day long as long as u stay under calories required for your weight loss. You would lose weight. Ud probably feel like crap but ud lose weight.

Losing weight is a mental process. You have to b there in your head and not stray from it. If youre not there.. then it wont happen. This is true for me at least.. I'm sure some will argue. I lost 50 pounds in 2009, basically for a guy, but I didn't get my bodyfat where I wanted it..I didn't eat well, if at all, and…

Drop bodyfat and you will see the abs. Takes time and hard work. Weight is just a number- its BF that tells you something. And squats can be done with a kettle bell held in front of the body and nothing behind the neck.

Carbs supply your energy. Try adding a banana before a workout. If that's not enough then you need to increase your good carbs, fruits veggies.
-
Change up your routine and shock your body. Try heavy lifting and no cardio.
-
Depends on your goal, how much you weigh and how fast you want to lose. Drop carbs which is very hard and weight loss happens quick. I'm more a calorie watcher and not a macro gal.

Love milk but my husband only drinks whole milk. Too many calories for me so I use unsweetened coconut milk in my smoothies.

I have tried cheat days and I lose control and my mindset. Ive learned if im going to be serious, I can't go off track.
