  • I can feel myself getting stronger, pushing myself further in my workouts. My shirts are literally falling off my shoulders, i will have to buy new clothes now B) And i can actually see a difference in my body now. My stomach isn't round!
  • I always check my packaging, i've noticed MFP can actually give more/less calories then my packaging states. But in general, i found MFP to be pretty accurate, at least from the food i eat.
  • I've been laughing at that for 5 minutes now. But they're right. Unless you eat at maintenance (where you dont gain nor lose weight) and then do intense exercise .. well even then you'd probably only lose .5-1 pound a week. My favorite quote is "Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym" and it could not be more true. You…
  • There are a lot of discussion if you can actually build muscle on a calories deficient or not. There have been studies that have shown men gaining muscles, others believe it's impossible and some believe in "nooby gains". I'm actually unsure which is true, however, i have gained a lot of strength while working out. Best…
  • Just take everyday one step at a time. You already know your problems. Start cutting back on soda and take out food (such as chinese). You don't need to get rid of them completely- but start treating them as treats instead of daily food/drinks. Start maybe only eating/drinking them weekly. Then maybe every 2 weeks. I'm not…
  • Though i'm kind of a head (already lost 30 pounds) i'd be more then happy to help and motivate you :) it's been a long road for me and friends are always appreciated !
  • How many calories are you on? Could you be under estimating how much you're eating? Do you weigh food? Measure it out? Working out at all?
  • Did you take measurements? You could be losing in inches. But what do you mean healthy? Are you counting calories? You're not going to lose if you're not on a deficient
  • Anything that's "aggressive" in the music. It just pumps me up. I mostly listen to rock.
  • I might not be in the same situation... but i've been on this journey for a while now. I've already lost over 30 pounds and still have a good 20 pounds left to lose. I can help in anyway i can, if you want. I started out as 165 pounds, got down to 145 pounds and maintained that weight for a long time. I struggled getting…
  • Mixed nuts -- easy on the go snack.
  • MFP only gives what you ask of it. If you want to lose 3lbs a week it's going to give you a really aggressive calories deficient. Which for a woman is 1,200. As long as you're eating less than your maintenance you're going to lose.
  • You do realize you're almost averaging 12 pounds of weight loss a month, right? That is A LOT of weight. In comparison it took me just as long to lose 20 pounds. Remember fast weight loss isn't always better, you want to learn to change your life so you don't gain it all back once you're done with your "diet". Keep going…
  • How much are you going over on your calories? Maybe you can try to balance out your week more, so you don't always feel the need to overeat on weekends?
  • I don't eat the same things everyday. But in general i eat the same (couple) meals everyday. I'm not a big breakfast person. At most i'll eat two eggs. But other than that i either have fruit or a breakfast fruit bar, maybe even cereal. I for whatever reason can't eat big meals, it just hurts my stomach in the morning.…
  • It's odd you ask this because i've never worried about macros... I've lost over 30 pounds and my only concern is staying under my calories and working out. :| I'm actually unsure how important macros are.. i pretty much go over on sugar everyday according to MFP but it's coming from things like milk, and fruit. I hope…
  • Peanut butter or chocolate chip! Those are my go to cookies.
  • I don't really. Not for any real reason, i'm just not a banana person. I like strawberries and apples.
  • The key, i found, is to not take out anything i don't plan to live forever without. Just work it into your calories. Or some people do a "treat" day where they eat at maintenance and allow themselves to have those goodies. You just need to learn moderation :) Good luck!
  • ' Honestly we could probably go back in forth putting links to support one anothers idea. I never said it wasn't safe, did i? I just said i don't consider them a good substitute. I'd rather eat something natural and is REAL then something that is fake and my body doesn't know what to do with it.…

  • You don't have to miss out on it :) Moderation is the key. Instead of taking a big slice of cake, make it small (half of what you'd normally eat). I still make room for my chocolate. I love chocolate milk and drink a cup (an actually measuring cup!) of it almost every night and i've lost almost 30 pounds.
  • I tried to rush my weight loss... and went to the extreme at 1,200 calories. Want to know how long that lasted? Like 3 days. Moderation is the key to everything i've noticed. Moderate deficient, moderate food, moderate exercise. Too much of any extreme just tires you. You just need to listen to your body, push yourself but…
  • Aren't both those artificial sweeteners? I'm not exactly sure i'd considered either of those to be good substitutes, but that's just me. Natural, whole foods are far better.. I personally don't mind the taste of steevia, i haven't noticed any difference. But i don't personally use it. I just buy regular sugar.

  • I used to run with my golden retriever. We live by a school so the track field is open during the warmer months. And since it's fenced in he was allowed to be off leash... He actually got tired of running with me and went to lay in the field *shrug* i guess my dog is out of shape.
  • I feel as i've gotten fitter the less sweaty i am... Day 1 working out i was dripping. Day 30? Only certain workouts (strength type exercises like plank) seem to push me over. I overall hate how i look working out. Red face and sweaty, and curly hair that frizzes out? yeah i look like a mess!
  • I love baking... so i've been watching youtube videos lately of all the goodies i want to eat. :D it's kind of like food porn. Oh how i want a brownie..
  • Hehe i'm only 5'3 so weight REALLY shows on me. I feel good when people say i lose weight, because i sometimes don't really see it. It was just recently that i finally noticed a difference. My clothes falling off my shoulders, pants no longer fitting and my stomach being a "fat flat". But it can also be kind of…
  • I'm feeling extra hungry and sore this morning. I really don't want to workout today. I think im gonna go make myself a big, protein packed lunch and get to it. Even if i only do a 30 minute workout. Thanks :) we all have those days!

  • I too only have a little weight left to lose, and it seems to be the most frustrating. I spent the last month fluctuating between 5 pounds (140-145) and finally broke it and weight in at 138 pounds now.. But finally looking in the mirror i finally see some changes. My belly is flat (a fat flat) and my shirts are literally…
