4 more pounds. That will make it 80.5lbs down, and land me at 170lbs. I think that that is about where I'm gonna stay. I'll maintain for a while, and work on more getting more muscular, but I don't see me being much below 170. Almost there.

Congrats, great job!

I noticed that clothes fit better within a couple weeks, about 5lbs down. At about 20lbs down, people starting mentioning it. At the same time, I noticed that things that used to wind me didn't anymore. At around 50lbs, I noticed how bony my knees and ankles felt. I have gone from 250.5lbs to 175, for reference.

I hit Onederland in mid August. I still like coming here to see everyone else's progress. Keep up the hard work. It's worth it :).

The ability to sit down and eat as much of something as I feel like without thinking about it, specifically M&Ms. I just plowed through those before. I do NOT miss the headaches I used to get from all the sugar I ate, though. And my old belt. Sounds silly, but I love my old belt, I've had it for like 20 years. I added so…

I can put on my socks while standing up. And tie my shoes while standing up. I can run 5k. I can fit through tight spaces. I can wear medium shirts instead of XXL. I can eat 10 smarties instead of all of them. I can eat SOME pizza, not THE pizza. I cannot, however, pass a mirror without shaking me head in amazement.

I'm usually about an hour when I hit the gym. I split it mostly evenly between cardio and strength training. I eat at a deficit every day, and have lost 74lbs in a little under 8 months, so an hour can do the job. I'm no Adonis, but I am definately more muscular when I started, so, in my experience, one can add muscle…

7 more lbs. that gets me 80.5lbs down, and at 170lbs, which is about what I think my number should be. I'll probably hit it by the end of the year. From there, it's maintenance and recomp :)

The cold hasn't hit me yet, but I'm with you on the rest. I've had noticably less headaches, I attribute that to less sugar. And I think the miscles are a combination of building them and uncovering them all at the same time. Love it.

Congrats! This app is super helpful. Keep at it :)

My chart won't help. I don't enter the little spikes in weight, because I know they'll disappear again. I just look for the overall trend, and I'm happy. Like OP, I was typically about 2lbs a week for my first 60lbs lost. I'm down to about 8lbs to go, and it is slowing to about 1lb a week, which isn't surprising. I ignore…

Always a good feeling. Congrats!

Sorry for your loss. Congrats on the attitude turnaround. You got this, keep rolling!

I believe the word you are looking for is...uh...kitten?

Clothing NSV. Shortly before I started losing weight, I bought a button up shirt that I loved the colour of. It was my favourite shirt, but quickly became too big to wear. I tried to buy it in a smaller size, but it was no longer available. I just found one in a thrift shop in my size now. Yay!

Stick to one, or at the very least, two that you can use regularly. The scale at my gym shows me a couple pounds heavier than the one at home. They are both steadily showing decreases, which is really all that matters. I currently weigh 177.5 at home - I don't care if I actually weigh 179.5lbs, I'm just glad I'm no longer…

If the weather where you are allows, get outside and run. It's so much nicer! If you run 5k 5 times a week, you are ready for a race. Have fun with it :)

Thanks! I certainly could, and did, eat lots of food. I knew I needed to change, and did, with determination and focus. As mentioned above, I don't have the stength to never have sweets again. I am able to only have enough to stick to my calorie goals, however, and know I can have more tomorrow.
-
Good for you, congrats for being able to cut stuff out totally. Different kind of will power, I guess. I can manage to eat less of something, but can't deal with the idea of never eating it. I'm glad you found something that works for you; it's not easy. :)

I have sweets (mostly chocolate) pretty much daily, and have had no issue dropping 72lbs. Keep it under your calorie limit and you'll be fine. I think trying to completely cut certain things out makes this much tougher. Everything in moderation...it works. Eat the sweets, just not all of them :)

I think it is normal for people to see themselves as imperfect, and not notice positive changes. At 116lbs, you are well within the weight range you should be. I would not recommend trying to lose more.

Clearly.

Not really recent, but recently realized - chub rub is gone. I don't remember the last time I had that excruciating inner thigh chafing. Good riddance!

C25K for the win! That's awesome, congrats. I remember doing that 20 minute run the first time. Such a great feeling :)

This. People want it to be some super easy, fast solution. Like, just don't eat chocolate on Wednesdays and the weight will fall off. When they find out it is actually a lot of work, they become less interested. I was the same way for years before I started losing weight. I knew I could do it with a lot of hard work, I…

As a man that works really hard at my job, the gym, raising my kids, and making sure my wife gets time to herself - this post bothers me. Women don't commit to family at the expense of themselves; some women do. Men don't ignore their wives' need for time for themselves; some men do. As said before, people in relationships…

Smaller pants have smaller pockets. Makes sense, but it's super inconvenient sometimes.

Stick to a calorie deficit, and you will lose weight. I am down 71lbs since mid March (250.5 to 179.5) and eat everything I used to, just less of it. For the most part, clean foods make it easier - for example, a Snickers bar is 250 calories. It takes a lot of veggies to make 250 calories, they'll fill you up more than the…

I've been eating the candy, and staying in a calorie deficit. It's doable. And delicious :)

Great work!
