Congrats on all the hard work, everyone. I'm sitting at 193.5lbs, after starting at 250.5. Stay the course, you'll get here too...it's nice being under 200, the work will be worth it :)

I ran 5k last night. At this point, I'm doing it every other day. I never would have believed it before starting C25K. Last night, though - I felt sluggish, as I had 12,000 steps in before I started my run. I was fighting it from the start, I didn't think I'd be able to finish. I was tired, legs were sore, it was kinda…

I'm pretty pumped! And I can't wait for them to be too big...

Good goal. One of the things that really made me notice my weight loss was how much easier I fit into roller coasters the first couple times this year. It is pretty satisying. You'll get there, and you'll love it :)

Got some new jeans today - down to a 34 waist. I started at 40-42 depending on the pants. It's been a loooooong time since I fit into 34s :)

Stick to the program, as mentioned already. And it is super important that you understand and believe that you CAN do this. The biggest thing for me was that mental part of it - I started off thinking that I'd never actually be able to finish the program, but I'd see how far I could get. After doing the 20 minute run…

Good work, everyone! It's been a great few months. Having this group really helped me stay on track. It was great sharing this journey with everyone. I'm really happy for you, and your progress :). Onward and upward from here. Will this group stay around, or get closed? I look forward to continuing to post, and keep each…

Smart. It works well for you, obviously :)

Great start so far! Another 44lbs in 2.5 months is a pretty lofty goal - make sure to stay healthy, and eat enough while losing weight. Don't burn yourself out going after a timeframe, it's not worth it.

Use a crock pot for easy prep, healthy meals. There are a million recipes out there. Try to squeeze some time into your weekends for bulk food prep for the week as well. You don't mention how old the kids are - can you leave them alone for an hour, and catch up with your hubby while you both go for a walk? Or take the…

I also find it super helpful to plan out and pre-log 'cheat' meals, or whatever I plan on having. It helps me make things fit my plan for the day. On most days, I have all of my meals planned and logged at breakfast time. It helps me figure out the rest of the day if I plan on having pizza for dinner or something like that…

Thanks :)

Hmmmm...that definitely makes it challenging...

Thanks :). I'm enjoying a bit of a break, then going after the last 25ish lbs :)
-
If they doubt you, invite them to join you on a run :)

The Christmas goal is lofty, but achievable. I just finished dropping 55lbs in a little over 5 months, so 42 in 4 months can be done for sure. Stay focused, and don't get too discouraged if/when you have bad days. You can do this :)

Thanks :). Honestly, I weigh myself daily. I know that there are natural fluctuations in weight, but I do find a correlation between my weight and a bad day of eating. Usually, I write it off to a lot of sodium if I eat out a day or two in a row. Daily weighing keeps me focused, and keeps me from going off track.…

Thanks :). Back at ya, you have done extremely well at this!

Kinda looks like you had a pretty successful mainteneance break, which they say is good to do. Good progress overall :)
-
Nice job this week!

Welcome back! I'm glad your break didn't take away from your progress :). I know what you mean about feeling better while sticking to the plan - this stuff is addictive!

....and we're done. Just wrapped up the program. Ended up running just under 31 minutes in the final run to hit the full 5k. Woohoo!

I was comfortably walking 5k on a fairly regular basis. I started losing weight at 250lbs, and didn't start this program until I was about 215lbs. I thought about it sooner, but wanted to be a bit lighter before running. It works really well :)

Scale results can definitely vary day to day for a variety of reasons, as mentioned earlier. Look for long term results, as mentioned earlier - I weigh myself daily, but, as long as I lose weight over the course of a week, I'm happy, and not so worried about the day to day stuff. The real indicators are how you look and…

I'v dropped 54 pounds in just over 5 months, so roughly 2lbs a week on average, starting at 250.5. I've been eating better, and less, and doing a lot more exercise, so that I don't drop muscle, as @vespiquenn mentioned. As I've been getting closer to goal, which is currently about 180 (I'll re-evaluate when I get there),…

Super quiet around here again. Hope everyone is having a good week. I finish my couch to 5k program tonight. It's my third 30 minute run. So far I've done one on a treadmill and one outdoors. Gonna finish off outdoors, and try to stretch it out a bit longer and do the full 5k. I eneded at 4.73k last time.
