Here's hoping. Week 5 has a 20 minute run. I'm terrified of it, and I can't wait to do it, all at the same time :)

Yeah, I think doing a 5k would be awesome. Last night went great, it was a 3 minute run, a 5 minute run, then another 3 and another 5, all broken up by some walking in between. More running time than I've ever done for sure...and it was no problem. I could have gone further/longer on all of the runs. I'm getting my…

They may be new. Or haven't gotten to where they want to be yet. Or not so good at CICO.

What you are doing is a good mix. I do both weights and cardio, which is ideal. If you can only do one - lift. But both is better for sure.
-
I'm similar - I never brought it up until people mentioned it to me. Definately makes it feel better when people comment, cuz you know it is genuine. Good luck on the 5k! I'm thinking about trying to run one in September, there is one shortly after I finish the program...assuming I finish it. :)

Congrats!

206.5 this morning. Still on track for August :)

That's awesome! I knew the progress would come. The weight sorta sticks sometimes, but if you keep at it, results always show up :) I have found that A LOT of people are noticing my weight loss lately. I know some people don't like it being noticed, and feel it is rude for others to comment on their weight loss. I get that…

I really enjoyed it when I realized I could do this as well. Good stuff!

Yay!

Nice work :)

Congrats on all you have accomplished! Good call going with what works for you and for the long term. I think part of the trick is realizing that we are never really done on this journey or whatever you want to call it. It's a never ending thing - once we hit our goals, we still need to keep at the plan to make sure we…

You'll hit it. Consistency is key, keep doing it right and the loss will come.

Haha, fair enough :). And you are welcome.

Good progress so far, well done! Just curious - what is the significance of 317lbs? Seems like a random number, but it must mean something? Again, congrats on how far you've come already.

My daughter weighs 43lbs. I need to lose two more pounds to lose her weight :). After that, I want to get under 200, which is currently 10lbs away.

I think it counts your streak as consecutive days you have logged in, or opened the app. My guess would be that, if you want to start your streak over, you probably have to not log in or use the app all day.

There is something to be said for having it there and not eating it, though. It's definately a good feeling when people offer me donuts and other junk food and I pass. Makes it easier to do it the next time, too :)
-
Nice start, you can do it! Sucks living with the temptation though.
-
As long as it is...uh...in the right place...

I just came back from a mini, four day vacay. Not eating out for a meal or two a day would have been borderline impossible. I managed to come back at the same weight I left at. I'll take it for sure. :)
-
No chocolate?!!? Eeks! Lol, I still eat it. Just...not nearly as much. I haven't really set goals like this. I'm working on the couch to 5k program now, so I guess sticking to that is my immediate goal. Tonight I'll be doing day three of week two. Woot woot!
-
Stay at it, you'll get back to where you were before, and then some if you want. Sounds like you know this now, but it will take time. I'm only in week two now, so I'm no authority, but it seems like a pretty solid program. This group has some pretty solid advice in it - one piece that really sticks out is don't worry…
-
No problem. I'm really happy for everyone in this group, and the progress being made :)
-
Nice!
-
Good stuff. I hope things are getting better for you. We aren't going to lose a bunch every week. There's no shame in holding steady for a week for sure. :)
-
Haha, I am for sure. Thanks again :)
-
Nice work. Looks like the scale wasn't broken last week :)

Congrats on the progress! Good to see another active poster :)
