I probably would just set yourself at light activity and not log anything else
-
I would put all of that into MFP and see what it says. On days I don't exercise, MFP says I should eat 1330 to lose a pound/week but I find some way to exercise every day even if it is just a 20 min walk to give me an extra 70 calories.
-
I would not. I would just eat what you already know are reasonable portions and estimate a little on the higher side when you log. I haven't used a scale because I don't have access to one where I am and I believe you can still make it work especially for a special dinner.
-
Thank you! This is exactly what I was hoping. It seems like it can work.
-
What I would do is try eat light and healthy for 2 meals a day and let one meal a day be your "special meal". Make sure you are walking and stay active and try not to drink excessive calories. And if you want to eat a big rich pizza, just eat until you are full enough but not stuffed. I'm learning that I can really live…

I've consistently lost 1lb/week and that's what I have my settings on.
-
Yes, I do the same with calories. I don't have the ability to weigh my food right now so I just guesstimate on the high side.
-
I doubt your metabolism is the problem. I think the "don't always log in" is the problem. Give it a full month of logging every single thing. Plus I do some kind of workout every single day, even if it is just a 20 min walk. What kind of workouts are you doing that burn 800-1000 calories? That seems REALLY high.

My favorites: Grilled mexican chicken salad shrimp stir fry Turkey burger grilled salmon with rice and broccoli baked potato with toppings chili grilled chicken sandwich 1/2 turkey sandwich and soup

Is it possible that there is a medical issue? Yes but I'm not a doctor. It is probably more likely that something is off on your logging. If I ate 1500 calories a day I wouldn't lose any weight either. I'm 5'3", lightly active and MFP has me set at 1330. I usually end up less than that.
-
Okay, maybe I will round down on my exercise calories by 25% or so.
-
I know they probably aren't perfect, that's why I tweak them based on what my machine says and Runkeeper says. And I try to leave some gap in there. You can look at my diary and see that some days I have 200-300 left.
-
Okay, I'm doing spin classes and I'm taking my calories from the bike after putting in my age, weight, etc. I'm also running and getting calories from Runkeeper who also has my profile. I feel like it is pretty accurate.

I'm currently doing GNC's but switching to Fitmiss. I only do this BC I have a job where 2 days a week I can't leave my desk. I actually like the shakes.
-
I had horrible stomach cramps and gained it all back. I was miserable.
-
I would give it more time if you have just started logging. You were probably eating more than you thought even if it was "healthy".
-
Are you tracking everything?
-
35lbs in a month sounds like a terrifyingly unhealthy amount of weight. No way would I touch the Hcg diet.
-
Like next month? Yeah, it doesn't fall off. You have to work it off.
-
This happens to me a lot. I was in spin class last night and I looked at the women in front of me and thought, 'I wish I looked like that', then I looked back in the mirror on the side and realized I'm really not that different from them.

Yes, this. I have very sweet, well intentioned people telling me on FB that their magical Plexus cured their child of a host of issues. Yeah, I'm not convinced. I just don't understand why anyone wants to get in these schemes. Same with Rodan and Fields. It makes me almost avoid people.
-
I can't believe how insanely overpriced it is but most MLM things are totally overpriced. I'm about to hide anyone selling Plexus on my FB page if I have to see another pic of them and their pink drink.
-
I just ordered Fitmiss from Amazon. I'm excited to try it with some PB2. I can't leave my desk on certain shifts so this is just for those days but it looks good.
-
That's part of why it works for me. I don't want to make another entry so I change my mind about eating things.
-
Agree with the above. Just start logging everything you eat.
-
I don't think it is wise to stop counting anything.
-
I'm not avoiding bread. Simply logging and working out has gotten me down 12lbs in 12weeks. I don't feel like I'm depriving myself of anything and I finally feel that this is just a new lifestyle that I can maintain indefinitely. When I want a burger, I have a burger. When I want a turkey croissant sandwich, I have one.
-
Are you logging all these calories? Are they within your daily allowance? I work weird shifts and eat at different times but as long as you are within your MFP calories, it doesn't matter.
-
Awesome! Keep going! You are making progress!

I see this like I see doing my monthly budget. I started budgeting when I was getting out of debt but I never stop because I want to stay out of debt and be in control of my money. Same with this. This will help me maintain my weight and stay fit.
