To avoid chaos ahead of time, I plan out my meals in advance. My focus is primarily on protein and calcium. My aim is to alleviate the strain on my joints and spine. While it's true that calories mainly matter, I agree with others on here that quality of calories is important. When I mindlessly eat, I feel like garbage.…

I've had people tell me not to lose anymore weight. Have been told to put weight on. I've had men tell me that a woman under a size 14 is unattractive I've had people ask me if I was sick. One person actually asked if I was suffering from cancer. I felt at the time that I was irrationally insulted by that question. Now, I…

My muscles lock up if I'm too cold. No thank you. I can walk in the house just fine.
-
If you can walk without too much pain, I would also suggest walking. If you feel uncomfortable walking outside (like I did and still do), try a Walking At Home program. Leslie Sansone is the one I've stuck with all this time. Accountability also comes into play in the grocery store. I suffer from food addiction...it got to…

I'll be resuming training in a week or so when I'm recovered from flu. I swear, I thought it was a sore throat and it took me down so fast.

Egg whites, soy milk, smart balance and mainly Greek yogurt. When the Greek Yogurt runs out, I know it's grocery shopping time!

Was fighting the desire to burst out laughing.

It all depends. I came down from a high of 256 lbs and I have sagging skin on my abdomen and thighs. Don't worry yourself so much about it.
-
What kind of strength training have you been doing?
-
Give it two more weeks. Also, do you check inches? Such as around arms and legs? You could be building a bit of muscle. That, of course, depends on what all you're doing exercise-wise.

For me, it's uniting against OVEREATING. If I don't plan out my meals I end up eating too much by the time it's dinner time and I'm very hungry.
-
I'm trying to figure that out myself. Going to go into the app itself and try.

I just went to 1800 cals and it's a bit hard to get over 70 grams of protein daily. I'll be making batches of fish soon though so maybe that'll help. Are you eating sweets? Or salty stuff? Salt can make you retain water, which'll show as weight gain. Time you weigh also counts.
-
I plan breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Then I turn around a prep mainly dinners all week and lunches too if I can. With salad, I have to be careful. Wish I could make wraps, but I can never seem to do it right. :(

Can add me if you want. Welcome to MFP!

I'm open to having more friends too. Feel free to add me if you want!
-
I think I've been unconsciously doing that myself. Feel free to add me to friends if you want!

You can add me if you want. Trying to lose weight while dealing with back issues.
-
What all have you been eating? No offense meant, just curious.

At one point, my goal was dropping steadily until it hit 1100. The same month that happened, I started Nutrition class and then came here. Was nervous because people here seemed to know so much more about nutrition and exercise than I did. Tried upping to 1400 and was still unsatisfied and very hungry. Now up to 1650.…

You can add me too, if you wish.

You can add me. :)

I'm trying something called Hasfit to lose weight.

You can add me too if you wish.

Hi. What kind of workouts do you do?
-
I'm rebooting from the middle, thankfully. Starting when you are is the best thing. I see a lot of people that start the "New Years Resolution" thing in January at my gym and by February, they're all gone. I'd love for us to be friends. Anyone here can add me if they'd like.

Some of us have oral fixations. I know I started buying gum because I had a urge to chew on things even if I wasn't hungry. Weight loss is an uphill battle for me daily because I'll want to gnaw on something even if I am not hungry. Also, salty foods or food right before bed can cause problems in regard to weight loss.

I absolutely love her! Her instructions are clear and even though I've read reviews with people who didn't like her voice, I enjoyed listening to her. She amps up the exercise all on her own.

Unfortuantely, not all whey protein powders are made equally. Whey Concentrate is the one heavy with the cholesterol and lactose. Isolate has more of it removed, but there might still be enough there to have a bad reaction if you have lactose sensitivity. You could try a soy based protein powder and mix it with soymilk.…

Depends on the selection you choose. Different brands won't list potassium levels. Which sucks but is likely because they're trying to save space on the nutrition label.
