  • The only thinking about 1 healthy meal is why I’m doing slimfast. I lost a good chunk of weight just by proper eating and working out but got busy and tired of planning out meals so I turned to slimfast to help reach my goals.
  • I’m trying out the slimfast diet. I always have a shake for breakfast anyway. Hoping it makes it easier to get back on track!
  • NSV are what keep me going! Recently, I’ve been doing couch to 5k the three days a week it reccommends on top of 5x a week 20-40 minute workout sessions. And the fact I have never been able to run and I’m about to wrap up week 4 of 8 and haven’t stopped jogging early once!! Every day I finish I am just so proud and…
  • As far as tastes go, I have never tried a flavor that wasn’t delicious. But as a diet plan, it restricts too much which may lead to overeatting. It is basically a way to lower calories easily to cause the weight loss but does not teach you how to probably plan healthy meals for your day. I drink a slim-fast every once in…
  • I’m doing the couch to 5k app. It has bulit up so that I am on day 2 of week 3 and run 1:30 and walk 1:30 and has like two 2 min runs in there to start setting me up for longer run time. And this week my running is definitely slower than my walk. But it has a good pace to build you up and I still feel like I am really…
  • I’m definitely better with it now. But I think it is something we will all struggle with forever on some level. Especially if it is emotionally triggered. I’m honestly just really happy to see I’m not alone with that struggle on here.
  • @cherrybomb333 my favorite? For fun, definitely kickboxing fast fix. For results? I’m not sure yet. Im tempted to try shred it with weights as a whole month program but since it only has two levels I feel like I’ll get bored. I like the set up of 30 DS and Ripped in 30 though a lot. 20 min, nice circuit layout. easily to…
  • You can add me! I’m looking for the same thing! 5-10lbs would be perfect by May/June. If I can keep my act together with this eating right.
  • I love this! I cannot afford her app or year long program as I am a struggling college student. But I started my most recent MFP weight loss in October. I did easy Danise Austin workouts for the entire first month to ease back into things. Then did 30 DS for Nov, Ripped in 30 for Dec, Jan was a mix of JM’s 6 week 6 pack…
  • Greek yogurt, eggs, light soymilk, and protein shakes/bars.
  • I’ve trained myself on what I should eat. And still have days I eat “junk”. Usually what I plan to eat falls right in my calories and macros because I have become so attuned to what I should be eating. I know I’ll work out 3 days a week. Instead of 5 in maintaince. And probably keep mfp for the added help when needed. I…
  • Tequila and red wine were my go to as well. I never had the goal to stop drinking but when I got serious about changing bad habits and stopped going out much it just sort of happened. Now I get stressed and think oh wine would be amazing right now, but instead I opt for flavored teas. There are sooo many teas out there!…
  • I’ve done it before subsituting things to make it vegetarain friendly. Also opting for whole wheat bread over white and greek yogurt or low fat ice cream over the regular vanilla ice cream. I lost 17 pounds doing 3 rounds. 3 days on, 4 off. Macros are pretty balanced too. But, it is a temporary deal. If you aren’t actively…
  • I do 20-40 minute workout tapes at home with Jillian Michaels. Quick and efficient. In Ripped in 30 she is very motivational which truly helps me. I feel so accomplished when I’m done and she really just relieves that stress and anxiety I have built up for the day.
  • 26 and lost 13.6lbs. Still aiming to loose another 10-15. Trying to go slow and steady loose gradually not too fast as I always yo yo in weight when I over doit.
  • Adding you! I’m on a JM kick right now. She is bringing me to goal weight. 20 minutes a day and serious results. I’d love to have a friend on here doing JM too!
  • I’m also a college student. I find meal prepping helps tremendously!! I bring my own lunch to campus. And I preplan my meal preps so if I know I have limited time to eat, or lack a microwave to reheat it, my meal will still work. I usually just eat the same breakfast lunch and dinner for a week and then switch the next.
  • I’m the same age. I found setting my calorie goal to 1350 really got the scale to move. 1200, I was loosing less than a pound a week or gaining. I work out 20 minutes a day 5 times a week, eat fairly healthy and if I have something junk food like, it still fits in my calorie budget. And its working well for me.
  • I think it sounds great to start out with! If you start too heavy, you’ll more than likely give up after awhile. I spent all last month on 20 min aerobics and circuit training and this month on 20 minute kettleball work outs. I’ve lost 3.6 pounds since oct 18 and I only work out 5 days a week. I plan on doing JM 30 day…
  • Thanks. I've been trying a lot more recipes with rice and beans, its just everything I like is full of carbs! And I'm not very creative at flavor profiles. I've been doing a lot of pinterest searching.
  • Houston, near Kemah
  • I do hit my macros most days as I plan my meals ahead of time using the app. I think the emotional part of eating "junk" and taking that away was the problem.
  • That is all good advice! Thank you! I think I was in a better mood when I made room for dark chocolate in my diet every day. Maybe I'll go back to that.
  • See I never knew this! I kept getting friend request from creepy looking dudes and was like nope. Now I know why!!! I'm here for support, motivation and use of the tool MFP was made for. I add girls on here with similar goals or fellow vegetarians so I can creep diaries for ideas and to be like, if that girl is my size and…
  • I do a lot of cleaning and organizing. I have a 4 year old, always something that can be cleaned up. It keeps me away from the snacks.
  • Thanks everyone! And I have since switched to planning my meals on here to ensure balanced macros and adequate protein.
  • Thats strange. Youd think once the weight was off youd be ecstatic? Or were these happy tears?!
  • Ha, its driving me crazy!
  • Creamer make it taste even better than starbucks when you just pour it in and wait till the coffee turns a nice creamy color. But, it is sooo high in calories that way! I measure 1 1/2 tbs per cup, its okay, definately not as tasty as skipping the measuring but its liveable. I'm thinking of trying it instead with a splash…
