Sorry, I don't remember exactly... think it was around 800. I did track it in MapMyWalk which gave me 920 calories!

Just a quick update, I was at the gym yesterday so did my intervals on the treadmill. It made it pretty easy to monitor the distance and compute based on the proportion of walking vs. running. My usual habit on the treadmill is to do 65 minutes of walking which gets me to a total of about 4.8 miles. This works out to about…

Thanks for the heads up @lonestarwings - I am also a frequent Subway customer. I think @L1zardQueen is right, I compared their nutrition PDF with an early version and it looks like the serving size for the 9-grain wheat bread went from 78 grams to 71 grams.

Thanks everyone, appreciate all the comments! Knowing how bad the estimates from MapMyWalk were (thanks to this community) I never relied on its calorie estimates - only to get the distance and see the other analysis. It sounds like the Garmin is the most accurate of the wearable tech. Until I commit to purchasing one I'm…

Thanks @emmamcgarity @Steff46 and @garystrickland357 I have been reluctant to use the tech because I've heard how often they can be off and because of what I've seen in my cases... I use MapMyWalk on my phone with a heart rate monitor and was always surprised by the calorie burns it gave me vs. the formula I referenced.…

I've read that when you supplement beta-alanine that it "is transported into cells by the same protein as the amino acid taurine. In a way, these two amino acids “compete” for uptake into cells." So, supplementing with 1 to 2 grams of taurine will prevent any issues... Is this accurate? (the linked article says you should…

I have a similar product by HOTPOP - think it may be exactly the same sans the branding. Here it is on Amazon. It does not have a vented top. I usually pop about 90 grams of unpopped kernels and it usually leaves behind about 3 grams unpopped.

I've lost 240 pounds by counting calories. A large part of that was by following a pescatarian diet but today I am also eating meat. I had my gall bladder removed so a high fat diet like Keto wasn't really an option for me. I also am a volume eater so I don't think I'd have been successful with it since 1 gram of fat is 9…

I eat a huge bowl of popcorn almost every night - 87g to 110g of unpopped kernels, depending on my macros/calories for that day. I am usually needing to get more carbs in and the fiber is always a plus. I spray it with water/vanilla/sucralose and sprinkle with salt. Works out to about 290 to 367 calories (I use the Great…

The 3 blade version of the Paladermo (for $23) was the winner of America's Test Kitchen's testing. The 4-blade was recommended (supposedly the more compact design makes it "fussier, less stable, and more awkward to use") as well as the Spiralizer Tri-Blade Vegetable Spiral Slicer.

Not sure where you are, maybe it's just like this in the US... I buy single boneless/skinless breasts from the meat counter at my grocery store weekly. They are NEVER that small. They can easily be over 0.7 lbs. (11.2 oz. or 318g) but are usually a little over 8 ounces. And that's with me asking them for a smaller one.

@Slivnfree1982 It’s a brand of peanut butter powder... https://pb2foods.com/

My local news mentioned this study this morning... usual scaremongering without context. However, I was pleasantly surprised that after the canned report the anchor stressed that the study did not say that it was a "cause" and was only a correlation.

The USDA has a ground beef calculator here... https://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/beef/show You can select raw, crumbles pan-browned, loaf baked, patty broiled, and patty pan-broiled.

I think the Mars bar outside the United States = our Milky Way bar... a quick Google returned: Lot's more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_(chocolate_bar)

Thanks, I think I’ll go the bulk route after I finish my supply. It is pretty expensive and I didn’t realize I needed to dose beta alanine daily. Any brands you prefer?

I had one yesterday... definitely can taste the difference and it is NOT as good (but not "terrible"). It tasted less "peanut-y".

You can do it in the free version, do so here ("Nutrients Tracked"): https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/diary_settings

Agreed, I do the same and am usually close to 225g... love Lady Alice and Envy varieties.

That's not exactly accurate... it depends on the season. The current season they are working on a "century-old New England cottage." I would consider that "old" in my book. If you want to see older homes I would also recommend Stone House Revival and Restored on DIY Network.

I saw them at The Vitamin Shoppe yesterday...

Want to endorse Nailed It on Netflix as well, extremely funny!! Although you won’t learn much about cooking 😊

I use Legion's Pulse Pre-Workout. Unlike many pre-workouts it is non-proprietary and includes several supplements with the proper dosage that have shown to be effective (it has other stuff as well that are questionable)... Caffeine: 350mg Citrulline Malate: 8g Beta-Alanine: 4.8g @psuLemon has a great post about beneficial…

Agree with this, I would want to be corrected (nicely). When I have reviewed resumes in the past I usually "trashed" those with spelling errors immediately. There are usually a ton of resumes, so it was an easy way to thin the pile (and remove those who don't seem to be detail-oriented). However, I understand why its a…

I find this odd... premium users are supposed to get "Priority Customer Support". I only had to contact them once a couple years ago and got a reply within a few hours so was pleased with it. Did you contact them using the web form (see here)? Concerning your issue. I think you are referring to the updates that get posted…

This is me as well. There's been lot's of advice about fitting it into your calories, to not to deprive yourself, which is great if that works for you. But as @jjpptt2 and @MadelineBean_ mention, it doesn't always work for everyone.
