Sometimes the scale doesn't move as fast as you want it to, but that doesn't mean you are not getting smaller. Two weeks ago, I decided to take measurements to chart my progress in another way. Over the weekend, I measured again, and I've lost a lot of inches in two weeks: Neck: -.25" Waist: -4.5" Hips: -2.25" Bust: -1.5"…

Hi Sara, I also have PCOS. I tried metformin for 2 years and never got past the horrible side effects, and I also continued to gain weight on it. Ozempic has been a completely different story for me. Everyone reacts differently to meds, but for me, it was worth it. Whatever you decide, I wish you good luck! Best, Marki

Great job! It is all about making small changes that you can sustain over time!

Way to go WNM! Onward and downward!

buniphuphu Weigh In Day: Saturday SW: 359.9 PW: 336.6 CW: 335.5 I was up and down all week, but I was more down than up, which is what counts.

Hi Lisa! I'm Marki. I understand what you were feeling. This medication was a last ditch effort for me because I have tried everything else short of surgery. It started off quickly, but it has slowed down. I've added in exercise this week to keep things moving before my next dosage change.

I'm doing ok. The second shot at .5 went just fine. I think that I just needed to get used to the new dosage. I will get a little queasy if I eat something that is too greasy, but otherwise, I'm enjoying a lower appetite.

I got up early this morning and made it to an 8:00 a.m. Aqua Motion class. This closed my move ring on my watch before I ever got to work, so now everything else today is just a bonus!

Saturday I joined a new gym, and yesterday, I did my health assessment and did my first class. I really enjoyed the Aqua Strength class that I went to, and I got a good workout from it. I even woke up a little sore in places today. Tomorrow I am going to two different classes, Aqua Motion Plus at 8:00 am and another Aqua…

buniphuphu Weigh-In Day: Saturday SW: 359.9 PW: 339.2 CW: 336.6 Things are moving in the right direction! I took a picture today, and I could see a difference from just two weeks ago. I was really excited!

I've missed a lot this week! I just caught up on reading, and we have some very busy steppers. I went up in dosage with my Ozempic on Saturday, which made me really sick. Thankfully, I am feeling better. I am going to join a gym this weekend to start incorporating water exercise into my routine since it is the gentlest on…

The increase really did a number on me for a couple of days. I vomited for a couple of nights and had intense stomach cramps, but I've worked my way past it (I think).

@sandielewis2001 That sounds like a sustainable plan. I'm working on trying to do that myself, but I have to change my relationship with food, slowly but surely. @Stimpy56 I will, don't worry. I just have to work on getting my head in the right space. It's just going to take some time to overcome all the negative…

@melissacoleman430 Congrats on the great check up! The weight loss is fantastic, and the blood work shows how much your health has improved. Keep up the good work! @crhillis Great weigh in! How are things going for you so far? @Stimpy56 Great results! Having a goal of 1-2 pounds per week is really sustainable. That's what…

@Iamafrespirit Smoothies are a great idea. I bought lots of smoothie ingredients before my mother died in October, but never got around to making any. The fruits and veggies are still in my deep freeze. I got frozen sweet potatoes to add to berry smoothies and frozen avocado chunks to add to peanut butter/chocolate…

@GinLee61 How exciting to be so close to maintenance! Four pounds in January sounds like a great goal! @____Becks____ Wow! Great loss to start the new year! I hope this is a good sign for a successful year ahead! :) @pacsnc6 I am so sorry to hear about your cancer. I hope the beads shrink the tumor, and you do not have too…

I can imagine that would be a hard change to get used to. Any time I have a hot beverage, I have to have a little sugar in it. I don't drink coffee, so it's not a common occurrence, but my hot tea needs to be a little bit sweet.

I want to try to work on intentional noticing this year in order to try to be more positive and hopefully keep moving forward with my weight loss, so this morning as I was bathing I noticed something good but odd: I have ankle bones! I have been carrying around a lot of weight as inflammation for quite a while, but my…

That's great progress! Have you felt much appetite suppression?

I'm watching my calories and learning to listen to hunger cues rather than eating because food is present. Last night, I went out to eat with friends at a Mexican restaurant. I decided that one delicious steak taco was plenty for dinner. Others had chips, queso, and salsa, and they didn't even tempt me. I thoroughly…

Hi everyone, My name is Marki, I'm 51, and I'm from Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is my first month on team WNM. I have done F2F before and was on Mission Slimpossible. I was open to meeting new people and was assigned to WNM this time around. Please feel free to send friend requests. :) 2022 had a lot of challenges for me. I…

It sounds like you have good motivation to improve your health. You can do this! :)
-
You can do this! You have done it once before, and you can do it again. You just have to work on building good habits, so the maintenance phase is successful this time around! :)

I'm still ignoring the pizza in my house. Thankfully, I love turkey, so making better choices is easier with healthy food that I enjoy. I need to move around a little today, but it's winter break, so I've been a real couch potato for the last week. @ssssseika Well done on your loss! Losing during the holidays can be tough!…
-
Hi @crhillis! I'm new to WNM too. I'm taking Ozempic and tracking my calories. I've tried everything under the sun, and I'm hoping to be successful this time.
-
I just turned down pizza in favor of turkey, raw mushrooms, and some cheese. I didn’t want the pizza, so there was no reason to eat it. I’m happy with my choices!
-
@____Becks____ @Iamafrespirit @baabonnybelle I'm glad that others are joining at the same time I am. :)

There is a discussion board for those of us using Ozempic to help with our weight loss: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/140032-ozempic-users-for-weight-loss Right now it is not very active, but the more of us there are, the better it can be!
