I love McDonalds. I fit it in occasionally. All depends on what your calories look like for the day.

My family loves roasted Brussels sprouts, so we always are on the lookout for fresh, little ones. Romaine lettuce, spinach, Vidalia onions, garlic, shallots, cherry tomatoes, avocados, raisins, apples, strawberries, asparagus, yellow squash, celery, carrots. Those are things my family likes. Chicken breast, chicken thighs,…

Excellent advice for you on this thread. The only thing I would like to add is since your joints hurt, also consider trying water exercises -- swimming laps, water aerobics, water walking/jogging.

Just eat at sedentary maintenance. Probably up your protein for healing.

My favorites are basic chicken broth soups: - Chicken noodle soup. - Egg drop soup. - Matzo ball soup. If you can make them from scratch, all the better because you avoid the sodium. You can cook your stock base in a crock pot or pressure cooker and go from there.

How long has this stall been? Do you have a food scale and weigh everything you eat? You are most likely eating more than you think you are if you aren't weighing everything.

Mention this symptom to your doctor. Looking at the ingredients to some of the shakes, I see that whey protein is a primary ingredient. I have a dairy allergy and some of my symptoms are pain and bloating.

I have 75 pounds to lose, and in my first week, I lost one and a half pounds. And I have averaged the same rate of loss for the past 105 days! I've lost 22 pounds so far. Some weeks looked better, some looked worse, but I just kept doing what I knew I should be doing. I really pay attention to my weekly averages even more…

Have you had MFP adjust your calorie goal since you lost 40 pounds? Do you use a food scale to measure?

If it's something you eat all the time, make a note of how much the wrapper weighs. That way you don't have to always save them. Just weigh the whole package and throw out the wrapper wherever you are.

If you're hungry, sure. If not, then no. But your body needs the fuel for a good workout, so it's a good rule of thumb to eat half back.

You really must weigh your bacon on a kitchen scale because it is so high calorie and there is variation in cutting. Then you have to make sure you choose the correct raw or cooked entry, whether or not you were planning on using the grease or not and whether you weighed raw or cooked.

Those things are like eating air for too many calories. ;-) Good strategy for avoiding them...good learning. And logging what you ate...excellent life skill!

The American Heart Association recommends at diet with no more than 1500mg -- for everyone .

I highly recommend asking your doctor if you are not comfortable with asking your question here.

I am so sorry to say that schedule is going be a crash and burn. Lack of sleep will cause your appetite to increase because the body is doing anything it can to get energy to stay awake...but you won't burn any more calories. It can also lower your immune system.

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with sausage Angel hair pasta with sauce and turkey meatballs Pork tenderloin with Hoisin sauce Egg salad in a pita Check out Penzy's Spices. It is amazing how different a meal can be with different spices. My favorite blends: Ruth Ann's Muskego Ave., Berbere, Bonne Herbes, Northwest Seasoning --…

Multivitamin and a calcium supplement. Soy milk. Vegan "cheese". Brussels sprouts.

Popcorn is great for fiber -- and lower calorie when you air pop it. Fiber One products are great for breakfast or snacks. Nature's Path raisin bran, Heritage flakes, and multibran flakes are packed with fiber, too.

I have two friends on meds for hypothyroidism, and separately they both swear by heavy lifting. One does kettlebells. The other one does very specific weight lifting. Muscle burns more calories at rest, which I am guessing why they find success with it. Perhaps give that a try? (BTW women don't bulk up...they just get…

You cheat every day but you still log it? Does that mean you go over your calorie budget everyday? That would explain not losing right there. If you are keeping within your calorie budget, then that's not cheating...that's just fitting in a treat, which is completely cool...normal...healthy. You definitely need a kitchen…

Wow. That is a lot of water. If you really are thirsty all the time, please get yourself screened for diabetes. Many times the only symptom is thirst.

1500mg a day is the sodium amount recommended by the American Heart Association.

Thank you for posting. You make me feel like I can do this!

I don't know. Eating when hungry and even stopping when full got me 70 pounds overweight.
