  • I'm trying to catch up, so I'm so sorry if I missed anyone or anything big! Still getting used to the MFP message boards. @Scott6255 so sorry to hear about your mom, and I will send prayers and positive thoughts! @hamsterwheel6 glad you are back and running and your hamstring isnt doing too poorly still! @martaindale it's…
  • @hamsterwheel6 oh no!! I hope you heal up soon, too!!! thank you everyone who responded with well-wishes again, I'm so happy to have found this community! Day 2 of healing. Walking is getting easier and I can rotate it a little more without pain, but I still get pain when I try to fully extend/stretch it. I'm thinking if…
  • Thank you everyone for all the well-wishes! <3 The swelling was down a lot this morning, which is good because it was bad yesterday (see foot image below!) Still hurts, but not as bad, so I think I'm slowly but surely on the mend. I probably will just take the full week off and shoot for my next run to be Monday (as long…
  • I went slow coming back into running so that I wouldn't injure myself, so guess who ironically went for a run today and when two cars were coming, moved to the shoulder, rolled her ankle, and injured herself? :( Swollen ankle, gashes on my hand and shin. I only had a mile, so adding it to the total and now taking it easy…
  • Didn't want to (wah, felt like a whiny baby earlier before my run), but I got up for a run and matched my longest distance back of 2.25mi today. Felt good after! I even snuck in two minutes of meditation before jumping back to work. Really working on this whole 'mindfulness' thing and it's way more difficult than I thought…
  • Thanks @quilteryoyo @skippygirlsmom and @kgirlhart ! I actually am working through C25k to start like you mention kgirlhart, so I was curious how much would be *too much* for starting back up. I'm thinking I'll just do a light 1mi run today and not push it, because I have the feeling of really wanting to run, but I…
  • 9/2 - 2.25mi! Pushed it an extra .25mi today just to get closer and closer to my first 5k since starting back up. It's amazing how great my legs feel after getting back into regular running! Quick question for all you seasoned runners: since I'm just getting back into it after a few years hiatus (I had an occasional run…
  • I think I survived my second pregnancy on lofthouse cookies alone. They are so good and addicting. I also love eggnog, but can only have a super small portion that I sip slowly. Sweet corn is amazing and I could eat many ears of it myself. I love candy corn, but again, can only have a small amount. I hate jelly beans and…
  • True TNP enjoys reading a book book with a nice cup of coffee.
  • Hey! I'll join in too! SW - 245 CW - 217.5 GW - 155 I just had my second child in June, so really looking to get healthy and in good shape. I've been doing good so far, but I can feel my motivation faltering a bit, so a daily check-in might be nice! My hardest obstacle to overcome right now is that I just started back at…
  • Jumping in on this thread! (Maybe TMI, but) I am still partially breastfeeding, so I have to pace my weight loss so that I don't lose my supply, but hoping to see a 3lb loss this month! Starting weight May 2020: 245 Ultimate Goal Weight: 155 Starting weight this month: 217.5 Goal weight this month: 214.5 August: -2.5lb
  • Hey all! Jumping in here! I just started running consistently again after a 3.5 year (2 babies) break and am excited to join the challenge! My goal for September is 30 miles. For me, just starting up, it will be tough, but I'm feeling motivated and excited! I am using C25k on M/W/F during lunch breaks at work, and will be…
  • 26 years here! I'll be 27 in October. Definitely want to be at or beyond my goals before 30
  • This is perfect! It honestly made me feel better because when I tell everyone I've been stuck at the same weight, they always make excuses for me! It motivates me to know that it is within MY control and MY caloric intake. Obviously it's something I'm doing, not "gaining muscle" or "at a plateau". Thanks for the share!…
  • It sounds like we're in similar situations! My best advice would be to find a workout or two that you really enjoy doing and stick with it! My favorites would be running/races and zumba/dancing! It takes a lot of the "work" out of workout and makes it fun! Another key is to log EVERYTHING you eat. I never realized how many…
  • Congratulations! The planning is the fun part, so enjoy!!! I'm getting married in September, so I know just how exciting it is!
  • 4/1 - 1.5 miles 4/5 - 2 miles 4/6 - 1.5 miles 4/13 - 2 miles 7 out of 25 miles done! I hurt my foot (again), so I took a few days off. My foot is feeling alright now, but I want to take it easy to make sure it gets better this time! I think I will try some trail runs to make it easier. Hopefully I can still reach my goal!
  • 4/1 - 1.5 miles 4/5 - 2 miles 4/6 - 1.5 miles 5 out of 25 miles done!
  • So far, so good! 4/1 - 1.5 miles 4/5 - 2 miles Planning on a run today, too! 3.5/25 done!
  • 1000 is kind of low, but that's just what I hear from my fiance and MFP. maybe try throwing in a few more fruits and veggies! That's what I usually try to do if I'm having a lower calorie day! Avocado, broccoli, strawberries, bananas and oranges are a few of my go-tos! Since I started running regularly again, though, I'm…
  • Daily in the morning, under all the same conditions! It's just what I like best! I record losses and it really helps me keep on track and work towards my goals. Most times it fluctuates, but that ends up keeping me more motivated!
  • I go mostly by how I feel. I have my baseline set for calorie goal, but if I am still really hungry, I will see where my calories are at and determine if I'm actually hungry. I usually end up with a slightly higher caloric intake if it's a workout day.
  • My BMI just recently got pushed over into the obese range, but that's what I needed as a motivator to get me back on track. I dont feel obese in the slightest, overweight definitely, but not obese. For me, it was a good motivator, but don't let it get you discouraged!
  • I did the couch to 5k three years ago and after a while I was running 5 miles a day! Unfortunately life got the better of me and I gained lots of weight plus some over the years, but I'm looking to get back into it again! I actually just got back from a 2mi run! Would love more runners on my FL!
  • I'm going off more than just the scale, but that's just my horizon. Overall I'm going by things like how I feel, making strides to become healthy, and how clothes fit/measurements. My fiance is a personal trainer and we've gone over a healthy plan for me and my situation. Thank you for the concern, but I hope you can…
  • I'm just going to count my running miles, and my goal for April is 25 miles. I would do more, but I have final exams this month. Hopefully I can go much higher for May and the rest of the year!
  • One thing I really need to work on is getting up off the couch and stop watching so much Netflix! I've gotten to the point where I watch netflix instead of being active, so my goal for this month is to treat netflix as a treat for reaching my workout goals! Goals: -Be at 10lbs lost at the end of April -Run 25 miles in…
