  • Hello All Checking in: It’s been a rollercoaster ride since last week, but I have managed to reduce some of these refined carbohydrates and I had veggie lettuce wraps last night. I am starting a December workout challenge with a coworker friend of mine and I am going to see if it is right for me. If not... I am going to do…
  • @Safari_Gal_ I also am in NYC. I believe the lockdown impacted us more than we can imagine. I am working from home currently and find myself struggling to find motivation to even roll out of my bed. What I have found that was helpful was making small goals to complete in the day and making habits of them- for example I…
  • Hello I would love to join! I have been stuck at a plateau for almost 2 years and during that time I yo-yo between a 5-10lb range. It’s really difficult after losing the first 20lbs. I would like to get another 15lbs off of possible. I have been eating pretty good-no fast food, no over processed foods and I cook breakfast…
  • Wishing my American friends a beautiful Thanksgiving tomorrow. I am currently baking an apple pie and I am hoping that will take it one moment at a time. I am grateful that I have loved ones that are safe and I am grateful that I have the opportunity to have goals like getting healthier. Much positivity, Melissa in NYC 😎
  • I am wishing everyone a lovely and safe weekend!!! CW: 170 I have been at a plateau for some time now and will attempt to work on busting out of the 170s. If anyone has any effective exercise techniques or any good ideas that don’t include star author would be welcomed!
  • Happy Monday, Spent the weekend cleaning the apartment and running errands. Feeling lazy today... Attempting to get some work done today and fit a workout in somewhere. It’s definitely feeling like November finally in New York.... sweaters OUT. Enjoy the day everyone. Melissa in NYC 😎
  • Happy Friday 😎🍕 In New York, it’s pizza Friday... always. So prepping my dough this morning for tonight. The trick to my bulk shopping is... don’t get any processed food. I stick to fresh, frozen or canned real foods only, (fruit vegetables protein only.) The minute I start looking at chips, cookies, candy, expensive…
  • Happy Wishes to you Sara on your Birthday! I am also a November birthday gal, enjoy your day. Lana: it took three days of yoga and stretching to get my neck back to normal. Who would have thought... getting older means your body doesn’t heal like it should. I did a bulk shop buy yesterday and am feeling so good about…
  • Sorry to hear that Missy. I have also been looking for a job. And am definitely sending you well wishes on your search. It’s a cutthroat market out here. I worked out today for the first time in 2 months and was feeling great- but I slept wrong and I have a crink in my neck that stopped me from doing my full potential.…

  • Happy Friday! I am taking the weekend off of MFP. It is my birthday tomorrow and I think that I would like to just be in a mindful place for the weekend. It’s my own New Year. What are my goals? How far have I come? Lots to think about. Wishing everyone a lovely weekend with purposeful good decisions. Positivity for you…
  • Windy day in NYC today. I hope all stays well as voting comes to an end in the USA - peaceful vibes people... peaceful vibes. I was able to stay under calories but would love to start making time for real, purposeful workouts. Sorry about your Aunt @Tilliesmommy1 I work at a hospital and we were actually being told to make…
  • I agree above 👆 It happened, and having a takeout day doesn’t eliminate your goals. I have found though that when I have a full fridge sometimes I get overwhelmed with the possibilities and I shut down as well. So I will plan a couple of dinners in advance - maybe only two. Just so I am somewhat on track. I usually justify…
  • Wow. November. I am beginning once again and have found myself somewhat depressed starting again... AGAIN. It can be tiring. The end of the year is near and I find myself reflecting about my goals at the beginning of 2020, and where I am currently 🙄. I wish everyone the best of luck starting this month of wellness and…
  • Fish and shrimp stew. Homemade focaccia bread.

  • PW......173 CW......170.5 LOSS....3 -ish lbs I did make it to 169 this week but had a birthday party yesterday and it seems I cheated myself on cheat day. On a positive note I did do more physical activity last week then previously, which is a win-I know I can, its finding the right time to fit it in! Also, anyone else's…
  • Question: Does anyone else use this app? It is called FitOn and I got it for my iPhone, it is a free app with a variety of workouts. I want to know if anyone else has had any success with it?
  • I find comfort in ALL foods. Mostly warm cooked carbs, mac n cheese, garlic bread, any kind of pasta. I control it, most recently, by avoiding them completely. When I can't I usually limit myself to once or twice a week only.
  • I have the round rubber band like ones. I tried to use them with a pop sugar YouTube workout and they keep riding up... so annoying!
  • Monday weigh in: PW......173 CW......170 LOSS....3-ish lbs So the plateau is steadily coming down, after a 4mile walk on Saturday and today we are going to try these new resistance bands I got. I’m going the strength training route to get a hold of things. Anyone have some strength training workouts or tips???
  • I am also at a weight loss plateau. My goal is 160lb and I can't make the scale budge ahead of 171lb. I am thinking of changing up an exercise routine such as joining a boxing club or taking up running.
  • I would say I like fruit as a snack, banana...oranges...peach...pears. I really helps that they are easily eaten and I actually don't have to prepare something.
  • Week 2: PW: 173 CW: 173 I going to start a workout routine tomorrow, this plateau can’t continue!
