YOU CAN DO THIS! :)

I weigh myself just before bed and first thing in the AM. It's always around 3 pounds.
-
After reading up on the quality control issues with supplements, my reservation has always been whether the products match the label claims.

I absolutely do NOT need a gym membership but find it a luxury that's totally within my means. Also, the wife and I can go to the gym to exercise and get away from each other. If I hang around the house too long, she finds things for me to do! :)

YEP I had to totally give them up, because if I eat one, I won't stop until ALL THE BREAD IS GONE!

haha - beat me to it...lol

Jack Lalanne Jack was the real deal and maintained peak fitness into his mid 90's B) I do not trust many of the male fitness gurus today. I suspect they're mostly juicing roids and seem more interested in selling snake oil than really helping others. If I see another roid-bloated celeb pitching protein powder, I think my…

And the opposite is ytue as well. Some of my old friends resented me after I lost the fat. Human nature is a strange ointment...

Planks, sit ups, leg raises - whatever... The key is doing something regularly. And that's 25% of the fight. Nice abs are a function of training, but 75% of your results will be derived from diet. Yea, I know...I hate that too... :s

Cheat days - yes they're great....and then no they were not. I lost just over 100 pounds with that weekly cheat day, and all was well. I needed that day to pig out on all the junk foods I craved morning, noon and night. As things progressed, my cheat days became less of a food binge and more of a few cheat meals. Again,…

The bar is out front, so it's balanced.

Normal has become abnormal. We're such a culture of big people that when anybody is a normal, healthy weight, the herd can't deal with it.
-
Wow - great work!
-
I get peppered with such questions by just about everybody. How did I get such results???? When I say "hard work", they slink off disappointed. The people herd want that quick, easy fix, and those of us who worked for our results must have some elusive secret - right? :p NOPE! Eat clean and healthy, exercise hard and…

I brew my own every morning from bags.

That's a caffeine pill... They just call it something else like most of those "diet pills". Anyway, I like green tea before an activity. It gives me a slight bump, and the actual caffeine content is lower than coffee. It's not like we're smoking meth...lol Good luck to you!
-
Well done! You've succeeded where most have failed. Keep up the great progress!
-
Actually, it's that very attitude that got me fat, so maybe you have things reversed. When I changed my attitudes, suddenly my habits changed.
-
I drink either unpasteurized whole milk or coconut milk.
-
I gave it up. Once the buzz settles in, I become like a human shark in bloody water on a food frenzy.

Which is faster? Fast weight loss is usually the kind that piles back on after the "diet". MFP encourages slow, steady weight loss that's lasting. If you want fast, you've come to the wrong place. Fast is what is sold to the people herd, and again, it's usually fleeting.

Squat - yes, but don't engage in these absurd challenges. Just construct a balanced strength training plan based on your goals. Good Luck!

LUNCH!

I set new, higher fitness goals, so where one journey ended, another began.

Nobody ever asks about the possible affects of a prolonged calorie surplus...THEY JUST DO IT!

I like to wear matching Adidas outfits, because a professional athlete I know got a new sponsor and could no longer wear any other brand but Nike. He gave me his entire wardrobe! Suddenly, I am a fan of Adidas! hehe - :D

I get annoyed when people claim not to have time for exercise....or when I hear how wonderful life will start to become on January 1st... Other than these two peeves, I tune out the loser herd.

I am in better health in my 50's than most guys half my age. It's a mere number, and my only desire is to be the best version of myself at any age. Rob Clary - Age 52 Before MFP - Age 46

Same here. It's a sales pitch to justify sub-par products, and after paying too much for both meats and veggies, like you, I said "no more!" I have enough to worry about without manufacturing food drama.

Is 6 days too much? ;) It depends on your goals and level of fitness. I train 7 days per week, and guy told me I exercise too much. That same guy is fat and watches 4 hours of TV every night like most average people. When average people disapprove, you must be doing something right. I think you're doing just fine! B)
