Medical costs are so high, testing is done at the topmost basic level until there is a flagged issue and then, more in-depth testing MIGHT be done before pills are handed out. But think about a glass of water with 1" layer of oil on top. If my test was only 1/2" into the glass, I might conclude that it was a glass of oil.

I think my brain just exploded! lol I will hypothesize that I am "allergic" to white carbs based on my experience that if I eat bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, I bloat up and feel tired and crave, crave, crave them to the exclusion of all other foods.

lol on the pic!!! I was at the market yesterday and saw someone put a large tub of the store brand margarine in their cart... it was all i could do to keep my lips zipped and my hands out of his cart to cast it away!

I was using aspartame in copious amounts, but switched to Truvia also because of the erythritol... but made a major mistake when i bought the baking mix of that product... it also has sugar! I just started LCHF 11 days, ago, but i lost 4 lbs of water in the first 2 days. As of today, 11 lbs of water gone, but i don't feel as if i am in ketosis yet. Few cravings though, so score! I have definitely learned a lot in the past week, thanks to this group. Much appreciation.

@Sunny_Bunny_ Very nice info... should i start with 1 tsp and work up? Some posters mentioned finishing their BPC with this product on the porcelain throne! :o Edit: The information on MiCkey T Eight leads me to believe it is a superior product to the Brain Octane due to the unblended factor. Thank all of you brave people for posting these pics... i am only 1 week in and feeling better, less bloated. But I can barely look in the mirror, much less take a photo of what i don't want to see. I just finished watching that video and was inspired to try it, however I take a LOT of medication right now and one is metformin. Not sure if one continues all medications when not taking in any calories.

Is peanut butter something that fits in to this WOE? Any negatives that i should be aware of because it looks good on the label.

Gale, about the person who thinks he needs carbs... I totally recognize that I have a white carb allergy. If I have a single bit of potato or pasta, I crave more and more, swell up with water weight and feel like napping all the time. I have only been doing the WOE (again) for 5 full days and I have lost 11 lbs of water…

When i was reading about the benefits of fasting on Dr. Jason Fung's blog, posters talked about water only fasting for 5 days with 2 days of LCHF eating. The purpose, I believe, was to release/lose the visceral fat around internal organs. However, these posters talked as if it was a lifestyle... to only eat 2 days each…

Yes, my diabetes educator gave me the same spiel with needing 164g carbs a day for good sugar control and weight loss, so 10 months later i had gained 20 lbs and had so much water on my legs that i could barely walk. How do you use metformin to cheat? Also, I saw on Dr. Jay Wortner's interview with the Diet Doctor that he makes his own low carb icecream with egg yolks and cream, but he didn't share the recipe!! Just saying you might have your own cinnamon icecream. :)
