I haven't hit my goal yet. I've lost 36lbs and have about 19 to go. I still feel exactly the same as I did 36lbs ago, and feel like I look the same. I 'hope' I'll be satisfied, but truth is I don't think I will be. I think once you have self esteem issues and confidence issues from being overweight, it takes longer for you…

I've lost 36lbs so far, and have about 20lbs to go. Add me!

I remember that day!! I was almost dying by the end of the 60 second runs. I also run so slowly (about 3.5mph) but I now run for 40 minutes 3 times a week!! I NEVER thought I'd be able to say I can run for 40 minutes!!. AND I don't feel like I'm dying but the end of it. It's an amazing feeling. Stick to C25K and stay…

Hey! I'm from England. I'm 5'3 and have lost 36lbs so far and have about 20lbs left to lose. I'm a runner (never thought I'd say that!). Feel free to add me

I'm 5'3 and have exactly 20lbs to lose after losing 35 already. Feel free to add me!

I have 2. 1) To be at a healthy BMI for my birthday at the end of February (I'm 4lbs away). 2) To keep increasing my running time so I can EVENTUALLY run 5K! I'm currently running for 37 minutes but I go so slow that I haven't reached 5K yet.
-
We're very similar! I've lost 34lbs and have 5lbs until 'normal bmi'. I have 20-25lbs to lose until my main goal.
-
Add me!! I'm 5'3 too and originally weighed 181lbs. I now weigh 147 and my first main goal is 142 (healthy BMI) and then 128. I will then reevaluate. I agree with making milestone goals and breaking it down, it doesn't make it sound so daunting!

I'm 5'3 and currently weight 148lbs (started at 181). I'm 33lbs down and have about 20-25 left to lose. Add me!

I'm actually a little in shock with some of the comments on here... I was in OP position when I first joined MFP, as I'm sure some of you were too. I didn't know anything about calorie counting or losing weight the 'healthy' way. I believed all the fads about detoxes and cutting carbs and sugar.. it's what you read about…

Don't beat yourself up after one rubbish day. Log it, forget about it, and move on. Tomorrow is another day

I've lost 33lbs and I eat my exercise calories back so it doesn't really count towards my weight loss. Lots of people have lost lots of weight without exercise. It's not adviced, as exercise is good for you.. but it isn't NEEDED for weight loss. Also, you say you've lost 10lbs of fat and have only been doing this for a…

Congratulations! I have PCOS and hypothyroidism too and I tried low carb a few years ago but just couldn't stick to it. I just count my calories now and have lost a total of 33lbs with 20-30lbs left to go!
-
Yes please! I've lost 30lbs and have between 20-30 left to lose. Add me please!

I also broke my goals down. I'm 5'3. I stared at 181lbs (currently 149) and my first main goal is 142lbs as that is the top end of the healthy BMI. I'm finding it difficult to choose a goal as I've never been this low so I don't know how I'll look at specific weights. I'm thinking maybe 125-130, but I'll see how I feel…

I believe it. I've lost 30lbs, and although I've started running, I eat back most of my exercise calories so it hasn't dont much for weight loss. I know that many people on here have lost a lot of weight by being sedentary and not exercising. Exercise isn't needed for weight loss, though it is recommended and improves…

I've heard this is partly a mental hurdle... I've got 10lbs to go until my first goal, then about 15-20lbs until my ultimate goal. I just wonder what would happen if you convinced yourself you had 20lbs to lose when you only had 10.... would you find it easier? Would you fool your body?
-
I have similar stats to you.. I'm 5'3 and currently 151lbs (started at 181). I only started exercising so I could eat my exercise calories.. so I can't say it has done much for my weight loss. But I feel so much fitter and have more energy, and can eat more but still lose! I completed C25K about 3 weeks ago. I was…
