In answer to the plank question. I am not doing a plank challenge. I have a 4 minute elbow plank goal that will probably take a while to reach(3-4months I'd expect). I want to do 2 leg planks(1 min each leg) and 2 side planks each side. From there if my core is visually improving I'll see about adding weight to my…

Steps 23,081 Water 101.4oz 1min 30sec plank Within deficit but close to over eating. I was hungry until just after dinner. 😑

Okay so I'm 14.4 lbs down I should make 20lbs by July if I stick with it. I'm aiming for 7lbs lost in June from this point forward

It's okay to start slow and pick up steam as you build stamina. I started my fitness journey after pelvic surgery and was not able to do squats lunges ect. I was to muscle atrophied and to overweight. I built my stamina first with walking and swimming because they create a reasonable deficit and were doable forms of…

2lbs a week would put you around that number but IDK your stats or deficit.

Steps 19,150 Food under goal Hydration 3 liters sloshing around.

Is PW past week weigh in? I keep seeing it but I'm used to the start weight and current weight so I want to properly post my weigh ins on saturday.

I couldn't do 1200 calories consistently and I was not reliable at logging my exercises meaning I thought I burned more than I did IMO. Eventually I set my goal to 1720 manually and committed myself to walking at least 10,000 steps not just moving around but specifically for fitness. I have 16lbs to lose and often eat…

Definitely 2 the methods I listed are researched based methods to drop water retention and work to varying degrees. Also you guys are right that you can take weekly or even daily measurements. I just think for long term progress the way most people tally monthly weight loss a monthly measurement shows more data. I'm also…

I Also just noticed going from 161.0lbs to 147.8 put me in a healthy BMI and I felt 2 things: 1. Mad that I had been above a healthy BMI & 2. Relieved I was fully in a healthy range for BMI not just barley within healthy. I'm 13lbs down 2 months and didn't think to check BMI originally.

Thanks to Covid 19 and a very stressful move I gained 30lbs. Technically 31lbs. Since April I've lost 13lbs and well at least I stopped digging the hole and started climbing out of it.

If it was me I'd stay on the deficit only because when I went to Vagas in 2017 I was unable to log my food. Let's just say I ate like it was a feast and got drunk as a skunk for 5days. I regret nothing but I would've done better losing 5lbs before putting it back on. There's really no wrong answer here. Adding back and…

Have you had children? Our bodies widen also fat vs muscle. My best weight was 140lbs but I was far more muscular then 140now is a very different look. With that being said I'd say either your wider because you had children or your weight was more muscle less fat. If your wider post childbirth then this is where you're at…

What's your calorie intake for breakfast? On days I walk 5miles if I don't eat 500calories prior or right after I'm exhausted. I know egg whites are pretty low calorie. I add to that protein and a fruit. For the most part it works.

Steps 9,999 +? So my google fit app malfunctions about once a month and today is our lucky day as it got stuck at 9,999. Did I walk more than that? Yes. I spent at least 40 steps trying to fix it. That being said today was never going to be my greatest achievement because I'm tired. I know I hit 10,000 and as long as I hit…

@Poohbah1972 I also have days like this. I have a mountain of chores stacked in my future because I'm probably not getting to them today. I got dizzy on my outdoor walk had to buy a protein bar to get home. Today's not over yet but I'm over it to. I have faith that tomorrow will be a better day for us both.

Get libra or happy scale and weigh in EVERY morning after using the restroom in your birthday suit pick a day of the week and record that day as MFP weigh in. See you can't cheat fitness or weightloss results it's pointless. Even if the scale malfunctioned and showed you a 10lb loss in 2days you know when you're getting…

Hi I'm Beverly. I'm a full time caretaker for my elderly father. I'm the mother of a 9 year old girl. I weigh 148.0lbs today and my first goal is 130.0lbs. I started(this time) not to high at 161.0lbs. I was hoping to lose 21lbs by July when I started. I have Endometriosis and had my last surgery in 2019 but this time I…

To clarify a 30-40 minute walk should help legs. For arms I shadow box for 15 minutes using 5lb weights and that usually restores movements very well. Also that rock climbing pic looks fantastic!

Arm implants and depo can hide or manage the symptoms of Endometriosis so often those disorders go unnoticed until you stop using them. One period like this after stopping isn't that abnormal but I would see a gyno, discuss it especially the size of the clotting and then plan to check in after 3 periods in the event that…

Girl get it while you can unless you're hungry all the time then increase your calories.

Your arms look amazing! Whatever you're doing is working wonders!

DOMS. Delayed onset muscle spasms are the root of all workout soreness. I get them often and there's some things that help. Serious stretching for a good 10-20 minutes. Cellulite brushing and massaging those areas. Mostly though exercise is actually what lowers the soreness and at first it's the last thing you feel like…

In answer to your question yes and no. As a women our measurments are effected by hormone and menstration cycle. The week before your menstration you typically hold the most water retention which goes away around day 3 of menstration. To guage an acurate measurement you need to take them on the same day of the month. For…

I steadily gain weight for up to 2 weeks when I begin new exercise and then it starts slowly going back down. This is very common in women. You're also putting on muscle which will help your confidence once you get to your goal.🙂

One thing I do when recalculating my calories and lower them is I use natural appetite suppressants. Apple cider vinagar, cinnamon and ginger are my go to. Apple cider vinegar in the morning before teeth brushing. Tea with added ginger at lunch. Then hot cocoa 2 cups with water and 2 scoops of ovaltine and added cinnamon.…

I played this for that today. My daughter wanted mc Donald's chicken sandwiches and I talked her into safeway chicken strips. I'd love to tell you I can will power through eating fast food if I'm around it but I'm not there yet avoidance is my only choice while on a deficit. Not reaching my goal this morning for my weigh…

19,075 steps. If you guys add me you'll see my google fit screen shots of my steps every evening for verification. Food was under goal. Drank around 99oz of water. Tried apple cider vinagar to hopefully stop the water retention I've been having but we'll see.
