Muscle weighs more than fat. So as long as the inches are not on your belly that should be a good thing no?

There is some really good body weight exercises to do at home. Research some on YouTube/internet. When I started a few years ago it's all I could do as I couldn't afford gym memberships. 20/30 minutes a day, watch your calories and soon enough you will see results.

Well you've already started getting active so that's fantastic. Just use the app to track your calorie intake, it helps me think about what I'm eating therefore I tend to not eat rubish snacks. I've found I'm eating cleaner. Stick with it you will soon see results.
