I had about the same thing recently. Took about a month before I could start pushing heavy weight again. I tried to keep lifting light to stay moving but anytime I added more, it would flair up again. Good luck.

Lifting, no. Cardio yes

Just go for it. At the beginning, you won't notice much and legs will hardly be sore. You can always do your cardio after your round with the 5x5 since you can easily be done in a half an hour. Once the weights get heavy, either cardio or lifting is going to have to become main priority. Not saying you'll have to stop one…

Male, 6'2, 197lbs, 35 yo. Low to mid range novice on all lifts. Nothing to write home about, but it is the most I've lifted in my life and only have been at it for 7 months. Last time in a gym before this was middle school. Time will tell.

Just started working out this year with never really working out prior. 34 yo male, 6ft 2in, 190 lb. Started SL about 4.5 months ago with no weight on the bar after starting a weight loss comp. Recent weights were sq 205, dl 245, bench 145, row 140. OH press I failed twice at 115, just couldn't finish the 5 reps. Last time…

I pack my lunch for the night and add it to my "dinner" for the day before. Then breakfast starts when I get up around 2pm. It's worked for awhile, just calories are messed up a bit on my days off. If anything is bought while at work, I add it to the current day. A little messed up, but that is the midnight life.
