I'm just switching now from WW to calories counting. I think WW is a good program, but it doesn't work for me. As a binge eater, I can go crazy on the zero points food and it still add-up (1 apple, 2 bananas, 1 cup of 0% greek yogurt, etc All zero points, still calories). It really depends of your body composition. For myself, before having kids, weighing 140, I wore a size 7. I was strength training back then.

I am also five foot four. I used to weigh 150 and felt good at that weight. You do what works for you.

I seem to have a higher goal weight than most. I would love to lose at least a hundred pounds, which would bring me to 153. I would be really happy with 143 and ecstatic at 133. But seriously if I even get to 173 (out of Obese BMI) it would still be a nice achievement (Yes, I lack confidence in my abilities)

I'm usually not a "event motivation" type of person but I have to say that being the matron of honor at my friend's wedding in septembre 2017 is putting pressure to get serious! How much can I lose in 5 months... Will see!

Good luck. The important thing is to try and protect yourself in the process, to have support for yourself too. I have a bipolar sister and she got so destructive that I had to take my distances. We have not spoken in 5 years. I tried, she refused. So now she's out of my life. Sometimes you have to put your own wellbeing…

I've been asked too many times when I'm due, it's depressing. Of subtle things like being with a small group of ladies and having only me not being asked if I'll join the danse troup of one of them (btw I'm a really great dancer! Yep, fat girls can danse!) No one is ever been mean to me in my face, but still...
