I left WW because I know that I would overeat the free stuff. MFP keeps me more accountable. I have lost more on MFP than any other meal plan. The trick for me is learning how to keep it off.

Hi all, just found this inspiring group. I am back at it after taking several months off (and gaining too much back!) Like many people before me, losing the weight when I reached my 60's has been difficult. At this point I am at 239 (from a high of 260) and my goal is to reach onederland. I have lurked this thread for a…

We took an expensive vacation last summer. This year it will be a staycation. Fortunately, we live ten minutes from Disney World and have annual passes. That solves lots of problems figuring out where to go. Additionally, my youngest has autism and he responds well to the theme parks. We choose to spend the money for…

I have cut out all caffeine from my diet because it raised my heart rate and gave me palpitations. I never had an excessive amount of caffeine so I didn't have any withdrawal symptoms, but I feel better without it.

Becky, nice to meet you. And, just to make you feel better, I'm also 5'4" but I'm older than you!! I'm 62, so I probably have you by a few months, anyways!!

Thanks for the advice. I think I am going to just stick to the low calorie because that is hard enough to do without cutting out my favorite foods!

I'm another weight watchers reject. Smart points were dumb points when all the healthy food(I thought!) turned into evil food. Came back here to lose the weight the right way.
-
Feel free to add me. I have recomitted after gaining back 30 of the 50 pounds I lost last year.

I have found that if I eat too many carbs, even at 1200 calories, I can't really lose much. Anyone have suggestions for good fewer-carb foods to help me stick to 1200 calories?

I'm sorry to hear that you have so much going on in your life right now. I know how tough things are when we are emotional eaters. Hopefully, we can all support each other and work through the bad times in our lives.

Hi everyone, I'm Sue. I'm glad I found this group. I lost over 50 pounds last year and got down to onederland. Fell off the wagon and gained back 30 pounds. Now I'm recommitting and hope to get the weight back off. Looking forward to sharing the support here.

I'm 62 and recommitting. I had lost 50 last year, got too lackadaisical, and gained 30 back. Need to stay on track this time. Feel free to add me!
