I am 5'7" and 230 and if I try for 2lbs per week I get 1330 for sedentary. I never got as many as you even when over 280 lbs. I am kind of old though, over 50. I do get extra from walking though via fitbit and mfp

I have the one which just clips to your pants or bra. Love it. Tracks my steps and the calorie burn is pretty spot on.

Age in general makes for saggy skin. My hubby who has never been overweight at all has some saggy skin on his arms by his elbow. Not a lot but it is there. I think you just get saggy with age. Now maybe if you are continuing to get fatter and fatter you can fill up that loose skin but that really should not be an option.

My fitbit is spot on too.

My son had a shoulder injury from water polo and was being treated at a very well known sports medicine physical therapy place. They said just that about the inflammation and pain level. They told him he needed to keep his pain below a certain level otherwise he would not heal. So with his exercise rehab he needed to work…

Make sure you have Fitbit and mfp set to the same settings as in to lose the same amount of weight per week.

Ok so I guess I don't need to worry about it. I do well with dairy and it is about the only dairy I get except for cheese a few times a week. I do love it and it helps each meal with keeping me full.

still broken here

My hubby would never drink diet coke or pepsi but I got him to try Coke Life (the green can) which does still have calories but much less and he liked it. Maybe if nothing else it would be a good transition from regular to diet as an in between step.

My Fitbit does not have a heart monitor but mine still seems to give more calories for moving quicker
-
I have noticed that it seems like my fitbit one knows how fast I move doing my steps. If I move quicker I get more calories than the same steps but at a slower pace.

in regards to the lactose intolerance this research they are doing is very interesting about how the type of lactose in cows milk has changed because of the types of cows we are using for milk. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/features/cows-milk-for-the-lactose-intolerant-the-turning-pint-9704759.html

I have not been able to stay at my 1 lb per week deficit. More like .5 or less so I guess that is OK since I guess I need more food to heal.
-
When I cook for more than one I just note how many servings. If there are 3 servings I then just take 1/3 of the final product and there you go, you have one serving.

I usually get between 150-350 calories extra a day just from walking. I don't eat all back everyday. Sometimes I save them for the weekends.
-
I also often wonder on the people that find they gain weight if they eat their fitbit calories. Is it the fitbit or is it their calorie counting that is off. After all if you unknowingly are eating more than you tell fitbit then yes you will gain eating back your exercise calories.
-
That is not true. For me and many other people fitbit is amazing acccurate. I am not sure about the people with that fancy HR fitbits but my little fitbit one that clips to my bra works wonderfully.
-
My fitbit and MFP work really well together and I am losing weight as expected. I only walk though, no other exercise.
-
I like the fiber gourmet pastas and crackers. Tons of indigestible fiber and lower calories. I LOVE their cheese crackers.
-
The only one my hubby will eat is Barilla White fiber. It is not a 100% whole wheat pasta but I figure at least I am getting a little whole wheat into the guy.
-
My guess it casual skating would burn maybe a little less or maybe the same as walking.

I have so far lost 55 and I can still wear my same pants. They are looser but not falling off. I think I have lost most of my weight in my upper half. You can see my wrist bones and the bones of my clavicle and my sternum a lot. I am hoping when I lose the last 55 I will lose by stomach!
-
Or I had another thought. Anyone know the Eat more Chicken campaign for Chick Fil A with the cows. Maybe this is another uprising by the cows.
-
Maybe the diet is a plot by "Big Egg" to get more people to buy eggs? HAHA!
-
My fitbit and MFP the calories are always very very close. I agree some setting must be off and if not I would be contracting MFP support.
-
I set MFP and my fitbit to think I am 3 hours later than it is so that when I go to sleep at 9 pm it thinks it is midnight. That way I lose less calories in the evening.
-
Looks to me like you need to up your protein. You are not meeting the minimum level.
-
I used to hate any veg other than green beans, peas and corn. I have learned to love a lot more of them since I started cooking them in the oven and getting a nice browning on them. Now I will eat many more even the dreaded brussel sprouts.
-
I find my one to be accurate too.

I am also menopausal and so far I have lost over 50 lbs with 60 more to go. It really has been just a case of not eating everything I used to eat and moving more. I don't exercise but I do try to walk, or paint the house or clean the garage. Anything to get me moving.
