  • Remember if you change your goal in mfp to .5 per week you need to change Fitbit too otherwise the linking of calories will not work correctly.
  • I always retain water for a few days whenever I have to take any pain relievers. It is not fat just water so I have learned to not worry about it. I will get a drop in weight in a few days.
  • My new food processor will spiralize anything. I made yellow squash and zucchini with it the other day and made baked fries. They were really good!
  • I was just noticing Molly what are you set at to have a calorie goal of 1700 at your size. I am way taller and way heavier than you and I get only 1370 for 1 1/2 lbs per week.
  • I have a fitbit one and eat all my exercise calories (which are just walking) as I have my level set to sedentary. I am losing as expected. I as guessing that maybe some of the fancier heart rate fitbits might have a problem if your heart rate is unusual, or a wrist fitbit might have a problem if you move your arms alot.…
  • Classico Lite Alfredo sauce is really good and not bad on calories (45 calories per 1/4 cup). I eat it probably weekly with 2 oz of fiber gourmet lite fettucine (120 calories for 2 oz) and 6 oz of green beans and some chicken. Great filling dinner with pretty low calories.
  • Have you lost weight. I have lost almost 50 lbs and I don't get as large a fitbit/MFP calories added as I used to. Takes less energy to move this smaller body. Also if you don't have MFP set to sedentary you will get a smaller fitbit/MFP adjustment. I walk about 4-5 miles per day (not in one time, but my all day total) and…
  • Yes you need to wait for an update if you change your activity level and sometimes even need to delete the adjustment and let it figure it out again.
  • That is why I set mine to think I live on the East Coast instead of the west Coast that way after dinner when I just sit the day is almost over and I don't lose as many calories late in the day. (you have to set both fitbit and MFP that way).
  • I have a fitbit one and I have found it pretty spot on.
  • So if you have fitbit linked and it telling you that you need to eat 2040 + 2344?
  • So are the calorie burn you are stating from the fitbit? Do you have it linked with FP? If not you should. That will help to figure out how many calories you are really burning and how much you should eat. What type of fitbit is it?
  • What kind of workout do you do that burns 2344. That seems like a crazy high number to me.
  • You are not alone. I have stopped closing out my diary because it would give such odd random numbers not at all in line with the number of calories I ate that day or my anticipated rate of loss.
  • There is nothing wrong with pizza and losing weight. I have pizza almost everyday for lunch, as I love pizza. So far have lost almost 50 lbs. The trick is what kind of pizza. I have a California Pizza Kitchen - Crispy Flatbread Sicilian. Also sometimes on weekends for dinner we go to Blaze Pizza and get a single serve…
  • Standard ground turkey is 93% lean and you can buy 93% ground beef also. So turkey does for sure mean less grease and beef. However there is 99% lean ground turkey but it does not fry up like 93% as it is so lean, but it does work well for certain things.
  • I am fat but have lost almost 50 so far and my blood pressure has always been normal but my skinny husband takes medicine for high blood pressure. So weight is not always the driving force for blood pressure.
  • The bolded part is your issue. You need to set them to the same thing and link Fitbit & MFP allowing negative calories. Then the two will figure it out without you needing to worry about it. That is what I do and it works really well.
  • I love dark chocolate. So giving it up for life is not an option for me. So I have invented new yogurt flavor that works well for me. I take 0% Fage add Stevia, and ground up 100% dark chocolate. I LOVE IT and now I never crave chocolate. I eat it everyday. So I get my chocolate and I get my protein.
  • If her weight is EXACTLY the same I would say her scale is broken. People do not weight EXACTLY the same for weeks on end.
  • It is interesting how everyone is different. Many people including my husband find soup filling. To me it does not fill me up and makes me more hungry. Only a heavy cream based soup with lots of potatoes and meat, or a soup that is almost all beans and meat is filling. Veggie soups with a broth base are worse then plain…
  • My fitbit is pretty much spot on for my totally calories including exercise. My exercise is pretty much just walking 10,000-13,000 steps per day. I eat every calorie it give me.
  • Wow we must be twins. I don't like the taste of alcohol either!
  • I am over 50 and have never been a coffee drinker. My mom tells me someday I will grow up and learn to drink coffee. I don't think so. Anyway hubby drinks enough for both of us.
  • I was sort of thinking that maybe with the holidays coming up I should eat at maintenance for two weeks right around Christmas. I have been dieting since April 28th and have lost almost 40 lbs but still have a little over 70 to go.
  • I don't think you get more protein from a shake. The shake shown here said it had 20 grams of protein and 170 calories. Fage 2% has 20 grams of protein and 150 calories. So same protein and less calories. That is why I wonder if people (my son is like this) automatically think that a protein shake is the best for low…
  • Wow a little touchy about questions aren't we. I was just asking, I did not say it was wrong. I just was wondering what the "magical" thing is about these shakes that I just don't understand.
  • Why does everyone on here seem to drink protein shakes. Why not just have some plain greek yogurt, like Fage 2% or 0%? You can add grated 100% chocolate and Stevia and it tastes so awesome or fruit if that is your thing.
  • I heard on the news a couple of nights ago that Nutella has more sugar than chocolate frosting (the kind of frosting in the plastic can at the grocery story). They also said that most instant oatmeal (flavored) has more sugar than fruit loops.
  • Also if you are not losing at 1200 raising to 1500 is not going to help. I agree you are eating more than you think since you don't use a food scale.
