  • I have some of these bags, but have only use them a few times to put some fish into them with maybe a little seasoning and then had a salad with my fish. I never tried creating the entire meal in one, but your ideas sound like a great idea and I just may have to give it a try.
  • We use a toaster oven instead of the oven all summer long so as to not heat up the house. As CafeRacer808 stated there are some great benefits to getting a toaster oven. Our old one just died after 15 years and that one was a Delonghi. We just got a Breville Smart Oven as a replacement and really like it. We did some…
  • Thanks so very much for sharing. I have just printed it out and will be keeping it in the kitchen to refer to frequently. This is great :)
  • I absolutely do as well. You can get a decent scale at lots of places - both digital and analog. In fact, I saw a couple of different food scales the last time I was at walmart (located where they have the rest of the kitchen stuff). You don't need to get a really fancy scale, but with the digital scales you can be more…

  • I have noticed that when you enter your own recipe and then want to log it, I can select which meal but for servings it will not show you anything less than 1 full serving. You can enter 1.5 servings, 2 servings, etc. But not a half or 3/4 serving. Not sure how we could go about doing that --- other than changing how many…
  • I found that my recipes don't appear in the food database either. I have to go the the recipe tab, click on that recipe and then click to log it.
  • Thanks, I will have to look more closely since I did not see that at the bottom of the page. I will actually have to wait until I add another recipe again since I ended up deleting a few of my recipes so I could add one that I needed for todays meals. Right now the page will only show a total of 7 recipes and I ended up…
  • Thanks for all the help - it is greatly appreciated. I have been using the recipe box section to add my own personal recipes, but am finding that only a few of them appear when I click to view the recipes. How do I find all of the recipes that I have entered for my personal use?
  • On most days it is Fiber One Cereal (like to make sure to start my day with lots of fiber - due to some other health issues) and some fresh fruit. But I will also make Oat Groats or oatmeal if I didn't make a pot of groats ahead of time, I will also make a veggie frittata with whatever fresh veggies are around the house…

  • Thanks Folks, I greatly appreciate that. I will find it and bookmark it for future reference.
  • I do know that the actual dietary cholesterol has very little to do with the numbers. I have been doing lots of research and was just sort of curious which is why I wanted to add that one for a little while. Thanks :)
  • My doctor said my bp was elevated a few years ago, I did some research and now follow the Dash Diet and my bp is under control again. That diet and the books will say the same things that everyone else is telling you and it is amazing how easy it can be to reduce the sodium in your diet and just how many items have added…
